What if you hold it and hope McCarthy falls. If he does, sell the pick to Denver/Minny/whomever for a "haul."

Yeah, I talking about a draft day trade. There will be someone to trade with. I'm not even bothered by the idea of trading down to the early 20s for the right price. There's a shitload of talent that will be available in the first 3 to 4 rounds of this draft.

I'm fairly confident he'll be there at #9. McCarthy is probably going before the Bears selection.

JJ McHandoff the 3rd pick in the draft. This is the greatest country in the world.

I like Verse. I think he'll still be on the board around pick 15

Edit: His arms are nearly 34 inches.

That seems expensive. He should be available after the top 5.

I need to do more research on Odunze, but I don't think he's actually that good.

This may be the most talented WR group in history. You can't leave this draft without getting one. Keenan Allen is 32. He's a temporary safety blanket for a young quarterback. You still need another long-term option.

I seriously doubt they'll take a lineman at #9. If they didn't trade down, it'll be WR or DE.

Why wouldn’t you take a left tackle that could protect your prized possession’s blind side for the next 10 years. Wide receivers can be found later in the draft, I happen to know.

Bears need a Center much more than an LT.. from a value standpoint I think it’s suits them better to grab a top WR at 9 due to Jones being a solid player. They should either trade back from 9 to acquire a pick in the 2nd or stay and grab the best WR that falls.

Adding to this I think it’s real possible 5 QB’s go in the top 10 so that will push the WR position back further which should guarantee a shot at one of the top guys.

As for Simms, it’s idiotic to put Harrison Jr in a ‘2nd tier’ when he has no holes in his game at all. He can go deep, he can high point, he can block, he’s got great size and speed, he’s a fantastic route runner, he has a great double move, creates great separation.. Simms has so many moments where he comes off like a contrarian for the sake of it.

Another issue I have with Poles waiting to draft a WR.. he and his staff have been absolutely horrible at identifying the position in the draft. Better to do it when the pick is more obvious -better chance getting it right.

I had the same initial reaction about MHJ. Did you listen to it? I can't disagree with his reasoning because I didn't watch actual film. I've pretty much just looked at his highlights.

Actually you need versatile offensive linemen, the Packers have proved this.

He's a willing blocker and gets open. That said, he had 3 or 4 drops that were layups. I don't know if it's a loss of focus because Fields wasn't throwing the ball. This year will tell me more. He caught whatever Bagent threw to him.

Warner says Caleb has a Mahomes-ian feel for the game.

But then spit out his usual qualifiers about the impossibility of projecting success.

Yeah, he's paid to provide analysis. Being afraid that take a position is weak. He could qualify it by saying, "There are no guarantees, but I think player X will succeed in the NFL because of Y."

I know. Just having fun at his expense. With Fields out there most of these guys are doing cardio anyway.

If he's so fast and is such a greate route runner, why doesn't he get separation?

Maybe it doesn't matter since he has such a high win rate on contested catches, but I need to see more before I am convinced he will duplicate this success in the NFL.

Isn’t turner just as good as anderson from last year.

Bears would be getting a very similar draft to the Texans last year

Anderson looked better than Turner, IMO.

I've taken Chop Robinson off my list because he has toddler arms. Toddler's arms rarely work in the NFL. I like Turner, but he strikes me as a Sweat type of end; solid but not spectacular. I think Verse has the juice to be spectacular.

The guy gets open. That's an ability you don't give up on easily. Valdez-Scandling has made a career being a guy who gets open...and drops the ball half the time.

I like this Jordan Reid guy. Always been upfront about Fields' deficiencies/didn't succumb to cult pressure to bow down to him. Here he is speaking about Caleb and also who's available at 9. Says his comp for Nabers is dj Moore so maybe that's why you target Rome to diversify. Got into other stuff as well.
