Jeez. This ref whining is more pathetic than Bears’ fans after another loss to the Packers.

If the elbow going out wasn't enough, then stepping into her should be the clincher.

A whole bunch of angles clearly showed a tag, but this one didn't, so let's call them safe.

She didn't throw an elbow into her. The view I posted clearly shows that. She actually had her arms crossed avoiding elbowing the defender.

Of course, Iowa protocol calls for running into the opposing player and then dramatically flying sideways.

But hey, she moved her feet, so blow the whistle. Everyone gets what they wanted. To see South Carolina kick Iowa's ass tomorrow.

You seem oddly angry about this. You (and TM) both admitted it was a foul. This is sports and sometimes they actually call it, sometimes they don’t. It’s not like Caitlin endorsed Biden or something.

If it was the other way around the same ref would not have called it on Iowa. Everybody knows that. That's the difference. That's the point. Doesn't matter if you think it was a foul or not.

As for Clark, I'm saying this having watched zero WNBA games, but I assume a lot of the guards are bigger and stronger then her. And they'll shut her down a lot of nights.

So I don't think she'll be the best player in the WNBA. Maybe not even top 10. Once again, I have this opinion without watching a WNBA game or knowing the names of the top 10 players.

Your thought began with the caveat that you know nothing about the subject you are opining about.

Correct. Doesn't mean my opinion will be wrong. That's why I'm a genius.

She has a quick release and will shoot freely anywhere inside of half court.

She’s like a bigger version of Steph Curry.

Not at all. Just stating the obvious. It was a cheap foul at a critical juncture that benefitted the team of the media darling.

I would simply not set an obvious moving screen on the last possession of the game if I was concerned about the referees.

You choose to call it a cheap foul, but you also agree it was a foul. And you are clearly bothered by it for some odd reason. That is stating the obvious.

I don't even watch. All I did was go watch highlights because there was a hullabaloo. It was a moving screen in real time, slow time, fast time, any time.

I had no rooting interest but it was a bad way to end the game.

And you have to look at calls in the context of the game in which they occur. Two inches off the plate is a rulebook ball. But if the umpire calls it a strike all night until the ninth inning when it gets called a ball on a 3-2 count with the bases loaded against the team that is down a run, well, there's a legit complaint.

There were only 27 fouls called in that whole game with just 9 on Iowa. And it isn't like Iowa has a 6'8" monster playing down low that easily explains that disparity.

This wasn't the angle shown on television, my PCS friend.

The angle provided during the broadcast was less than optimal.

The disparity is easily explained by Iowa playing a zone defense, and UConn being happy to just shoot over it for most of the second half when we watched.
