Tiger put on an absolute scrambling clinic today. Some impressive up and downs. No doubt his knowledge and familiarity with the course was a big help.

He played a really clean round - his drives were generally pretty good but his approaches and putts are just a tiny bit off. He was having a hard time getting reasonable birdie opportunities due to slightly errant approach shots. I think he was really close to doing something pretty special today.

Simply walking that course is tough enough.

I think rust and the wind had a lot to do with his approach shots. Not to mention some fatigue down the stretch.

The wind is crazy. Its blowing sand out of the bunkers. Anything in red figures is outstanding today, and 72-73 isn't bad at all.

My guy Rory's play has been about as milquetoast as his outfit today.

Zach Johnson is a conservative, Christian, Midwestern white man. Vaxxed Bob and bootlickers should love him.

Who really knows what that was about, or who or what he was telling to fuck off, but I'm sure he is going to get a talking to from Fred Ridley.

58 year old Olazabal makes the cut.

Also, Justin Thomas was in top 20 position at even par, with 4 holes left. Goes double-double-bogey-double, to miss the cut by one, at +7

I was Zach Johnson’s brother’s RA in college (button 48). His brother was on the golf team, but I don’t remember anybody caring about the team so he wouldn’t have been any good.

Yeah, Thomas seems lost. It would be hard to fire your dad, but maybe he needs a new swing coach - or at least a new set of eyes. Something is off with him.

You have played some tournament and match play golf recently so you know what the mental side of the game is like. I imagine on tour it's like that....x a million.

As crazy as it sounds, Tiger is only 7 shots back heading into the weekend. I don't think he has a real shot, but still....

Scheffler seemed on the verge of collapse before that eagle.

Some really good golf yesterday on tv. The course is really showing its teeth and with dry conditions this afternoon has the potential to be very exciting. The only thing I haven’t enjoyed is that it appears that they left Uncle Verne in the tower one year too long. Seemed like every time they called on him he either had some technical difficulties or he’d just been woken up from a nap. Has anyone heard who will be in that position going forward? First time I’ve watched much of Aberg and he appears to be the real deal.

The other thing I’ve really been enjoying is the use of the drones for shots from above and even more than that, the shots they have flying through the trees have been great. They’ve also had a few shots that help viewers understand how much elevation change and how difficult MANY of these shots are.

It is painful to watch Tiger as he walks the course. Everytime I see him he looks like he is wincing and in pain. And my gosh he is a sweaty mess today
