The good news...Shaquille O'Neal likely won't play tonight, as the Suns want him to deal with Andrew Bogut in Milwaukee in the second of a back-to-back for Phoenix tomorrow. The bad...Amade Stoudamire had 49 in Indiana Wednesday, and Steve Nash might take Derrick Rose, Ben Gordon and the Bulls' backcourt to school. I think the Suns win tonight at the U.C. by 10. :(

That's not good news. Shaquille is a non-factor in that lineup. He only had 3 points and 6 assists the other night.

I'm looking forward to watching Rose guard Nash. This should be a good test for the youngster! Though the Bulls have NO ONE to guard A.S. and the Suns win by 16.....

The "White Panther" Aaron Gray will shut Stoudamire down. Stoudamire will only score 33 tonight.

Dang Bulls up big at the half, guess they came to play and it seems Amare is having a down game.

Bulls lead by 15 starting the 3rd period, with a 29-4 edge off the bench. For the record, Kirk Hinrich, not Ben Gordon, started in the backcourt with Rose, Drew Gooden at power forward, Luol Deng at small forward & Aaron Gray the "man in the middle". Head coach Vinny Del Negro made a couple of noticeable changes in the starting lineup, but not what I heard or read.

nothing really groundbreaking here. tonight they are hitting jumpshots. however, there will be just as many nights where they will miss their jumpshots and get blown out.

Thrillho, it's one of those nights where the Bulls are shooting lights out. There was a number that the Bulls shot from the field last season that was a winner, 46% or higher. Whenever the Bulls shot less than 43% from the field, they lost. Those are two key numbers that I noticed from the 33 win bellyflop of a season ago...

10:04 in the 4th Quarter.

Rose goes coast to coast and dunks on a guy. Big time hops. Best dunk of his young career.

Got me to yell cuz I didn't see that coming. Gotta get used to him. I'll expect it now after seeing that.

Jeez.

Just in the past 2 minutes Rose Skied over a taller guy to get a rebound. He picked a pocket for a steal and flew by everybody for an easy lay up. Hits Gordon on a tough drive n kick for a three.

I want the ball in his hands more. He needs to set up every play.

Rose is just a natural. You hear the term "natural" in baseball a lot. Not so much in basketball but that's the best way to describe him. He just knows how to play the game.

You watch him on defense and he knows how to get position and fight through screens. He has it all.

Boy am I excited about Rose. He's really exceeding my expectations. He's leading rookies in scoring, and I didn't think he'd score much in his rookie season. His biggest downsides now are his turnovers, and his shooting; the turnovers will come down as he adapts to the NBA game and gets more experience, and I'm confident his shooting will improve, as all accounts have him being a gym rat. Other than that, his physical gifts and his skills are really off the charts.

He sure makes the Bulls much more fun to watch.

I'm with you, (O)KC. Shaq's only contribution to this team is freeing up 'Mare to score more points. Arguable how much of a factor that plays, but with or without him the Suns are pretty much the same team in terms of talent.

Wish I could have caught the game, was out for drinks + a movie. The post-game quotes from Gordon about Rose are hilarious.

Ben Gordon wrote:
He really doesn’t surprise me with anything he does out there on the floor. I think he hasn’t even scratched the surface.

Say what you will, W. Williams, this is the first time I've heard a compliment from a Bulls player about another Bulls player in a long, long time.
