Why wouldn't they go all in on a retractable roof? I get that it adds cost but would allow for natural grass, better views (weather permitting) and enhanced summer concerts. Also - as dumb as I find the idea of "Bear weather" - there is something cool about playing outside during winter.

Because retractable roofs are worthless. I believe a study was done they were open only 10-20% of the time

Supposedly almost no teams actually use the retractable roof enough to make it worth it.
