It's still unclear who will participate in the best known iteration of "Hard Knocks" which follows a team through training camp. The Bears are eligible to be chosen if no teams raise their hand. It's easy to see how they could make good summer TV, too. No. 1 overall pick Caleb Williams seems ready to take on a leading man role, and he's got a stacked cast of playmakers around him like DJ Moore, Keenan Allen, Rome Odunze, D’Andre Swift, Cole Kmet. Of course, the defense is filled with stars of its own, headlined by Jaylon Johnson and Montez Sweat.

It’s well-documented that the Bears view the show as a distraction and would rather not have the TV crews invading their space.

No Soldier Field games for a month after the Panthers. Lots of time for concerts to destroy the field.

Love having the Bears on Thanksgiving.

Surprised that one of the Packer games isnt a Thurs night or Sunday night game

Schedule makers must not expect Green Bay to be competitive this year.

GB is likely stuck in 8-9 win hell. Not bad enough for a top pick, not good enough for a Super Bowl. Laugh Out Loud.

I would hope and guess that some of those later games are flexed to 3:15 or SNF.

Bears and Steelers have the same division schedule. All 6 division games in the last 8 weeks.

I know MANY are judging the strength of this Bears schedule based on how the teams finished last year, but I think that's a mistake. I think this schedule could be one of the toughest in the NFL.

The Titans are a better team on offense and defense. Everyone knows I'm a Levis fan. The Colts have a shitload of talent on offense. The Panthers added offensive talent and a head coach who knows how to call plays and develop a quarterback. The Redskins have talent on both sides of the ball, and if I'm wrong about Daniels, they could be good. The Patriots have a great defense and could be dangerous if their offense gets a pulse. The Vikings have a lot of talent on both sides of the ball and a rookie quarterback who isn't a bed wetter. The Lions are the best team on paper in the division.

I'm all in on the Bears' offense, even though I know little about Waldron. If I have any reservations about this Bears team, it's on the defensive side.

Week 1. W
Week 2. L
Week 3. W
Week 4. W
Week 5. W
Week 6. W
Week 7.
Week 8. W
Week 9. W
Week 10. W
Week 11. W
Week 12. W
Week 13. L
Week 14. L
Week 15. L
Week 16. W
Week 17. W
Week 18. L (Resting for playoffs) It's a W if we need it for a bye

The first time I looked at the schedule, I came up with 11 wins. I had the Bears losing to the Rams. I've modified this prediction. I'm going with a 12-5 record. If I took an extremely pessimistic view of this schedule, the Bears are a 7 win team. If I shoot up some kool-aid between my toes, I can find 15 wins.

I'm of the belief the defense is way overrated.

Nashville looks like it has become Disney's version of what Nashville was

10-7 with losses to a team I'm not going to mention.

Defensive line is still pretty suck and will allow points to good teams. Caleb Williams will throw some inopportune interceptions, as all rookies do.

first six weeks is like a lineup of no fucks given. Texans may give some interest but they are one of those organizations that just have never developed a character. It's ridiculous not to have division games before week 11 and then those 8 games are all difficult for various scheduling reasons, even beyond the team that is being played.

Mully was decrying them not being on prime time. I would love to have only one prime time game each season. I'm pleased as punch to play each week at noon on sunday.

I despise the morning game on Thanksgiving. It just doesn't fit into any schedule. If I'm hosting, its inconvenient. If I'm going somewhere its inconvenient. Give me that evening game where I can have my gluttonous meal and then zone out the extended family.

December 26 kind of sucks as well. I was kind of running around scenarios that week for work and I'm leaning on closing 25-27 (employees would love it but still bitch about coming working christmas eve). But, I may open on 27, which would make a night game the day before brutal.

That Commanders game is just a few weeks to early. I would have gone with the family but it's the last weekend of the high school regular season. Hopefully SICP is in the playoffs and then that becomes a week I can't take my youngest. They have saturday morning practices in season. I suppose I could take a midday flight, stay over night, go to the game and come back late sunday.

Things change year to year. NFL teams collapse, play better than expected, get injured, etc. Nobody knows what the future holds.

That said, this schedule is trash and 14-3 seems the most likely outcome.
