Sure but as I’m sure you also know, nobody with that kind of income and a decent financial advisor pays anywhere close to that. This is just fun with numbers.

Well, I am a CPA. There are very few ways for W-2 employees to mitigate income taxes. Your HSA and 401(k) contributions are capped. Most deductions are phased out (think IRA). Tax planning largely comes with after tax money. He will pay those income taxes.

Take the over on the Ravens. The NFL is working hard to help the Packers. Sad! They'll still miss the playoffs.

NFL really has to implement a second bye week.

"But we care about player safety!!!1 Also, play games in Europe. And South America. Oh, and on Thursday more than once each season. And some of you play on Wednesday this year. And play a Monday night playoff game."

More doesn't necessarily mean better.

No....this is what they get for agreeing to 17 game regular season. The fixed something that wasn't broken....now they have to deal with the consequences. Players union can only look in the mirror....they let it happen.

Jefferson got $140M for 4 years. That Carolina trade looks even better.

And the Vikings just fucked the WR market for years to come.

I think WR will start to be viewed the way RB has been. I get that Jefferson was arguably the best receiver in the league, but how much better does he make the Vikings than if they had the 15th best for 1/2 the price?

That's a lot to pay a guy to stand around watching JJ McCarthy run around the backfield and flail.

You have to spend the money somewhere. What percentage of the cap will he be taking up in 3 years? That's more important than the dollar amount.

They just gave Jefferson a chunk of the money they had ear-marked for QB Cousins.

Whatever happened with the Falcons tampering? Pretty obvious Cousins and Falcons were in discussion/Cousins had decided on Atlanta well before free agency opened. I thought they'd at least force Atlanta to swap 1st round picks with the Vikings, if not give Minnesota the Hawks 1st rounder outright.

We should get a tampering ruling this week. The Falcons should lose their first round pick. When the Dolphins tampered at this level, they lost a 1st and 3rd.

Love still hasn't gotten an extension. Why won't the Packers pay the balck quarterback?

yeah, running game is mostly a function of 0-line and a certain level of athleticism/toughness; as long as the guy's somewhat quick on his feet and willing to take a pounding, your o-line does the rest for RBs.

The Bears didn't bring in Swift because Herbert couldn't run. They brought in Swift because Herbert doesn't block or possibly catch well enough. I think it also takes him longer than most to learn the playbook.

apparently Zeke's blocking in the passing game and catching out of backfield is why Dak asked Cowboys to bring back Ezekiel Elliott. Security blanket for Prescott.

Yeah, and Pollard sucked as expected last year.

Nas because I know this of great concern to you, Gutey said this morning that talks are in the process and both parties want it done before camp.

I'm excited for Love. Hopefully, he's paid like a top quarterback. A 5 year deal would be great.

I am not sensing you are truly feeling the LOVE, I haven’t thought about the number of years.

On the Dan Patrick Show, former GM Mike Tannenbaum stated who he would start a team with after Mahomes.
"That’s easy for me. It’s Jordan Love. I’ll put it to you this way, Dan: If we were drafting NFL players, I think you and I would agree. We would take Patrick Mahomes #1. I’m taking Jordan Love #2. I’ve really been thinking about this a lot. Who would you take before Jordan Love in terms of youth, ability and I think his future is limitless. We’ve seen in one year of Jordan Love show greatness. He was, arguably over the last half of the season, the best quarterback in the NFL. If you give me Jordan Love, I’m set for the next decade. High character. Great ability. Been fully baked and developed. I’m not looking back. By the way, that team is loaded with young skill players. I’m hard-pressed to think that they’re not going to be right back where they were a year ago, deep in the NFC playoffs".

Did he forget that Josh Allen exists? I mean in the way that he literally couldn't even come up with the fact that he didn't even mention him as possibly better than Jordan Love.
