MLB whispers: Cubs' Hill succeeds in Venezuela

It's hard to imagine Rich Hill getting another legitimate chance with the Cubs, but it's worth noting he's off to a good start in Venezuela. In his first two starts there he had four walks in nine innings, a sign he is figuring out whatever caused him to lose touch with the strike zone. …

He just can't help himself from sucking cubbie cock......

Rich Hill was lit up for seven runs -- six earned -- in 1 1/3 innings in his VWL start on Friday.

Hill had a strong first outing for Aragua, but he walked four in 3 2/3 innings in his previous start and he had no luck at all last night. He's allowed nine earned runs and walked seven in 10 2/3 innings.

OOPS!

Except for Rick Ankiel, I can't think of anyone that lost it so quickly, at such a young age, as Rich Hill. I guess it's still possible for him to get it back together. But I wouldn't count on it and I doubt Jim Hendry is either.

Another inconsistent outing by Hill. I hope Phil 'jock-sniffer' Rogers can figure out whatever caused him to lose touch with reality.

Rich Hill struggled with his command in his VWL start on Wednesday, walking six in four innings.

He allowed just one hit and one run, but he needs to get his control problems straightened out once and for all if he expects the Cubs to give him another chance. He has a 6.28 ERA and 13 walks in 14 2/3 innings in Venezuela.

bear in mind he's only allowed to throw two pitches down there. But yeah, anyone who saw Steve Blass pitch knows how quickly this can happen...

Would have been nice if Hendry would have traded him in last offseason.

I remember listening to Hit and Ralph for the first time last offseason, and heard they would not trade Rich Hill for Carl Crawford. I have not listened since that day.

Ankiel can rake... and obviously, he has a CANNON from the gap...

Rich Hill was torched for seven runs -- five earned -- in one-plus innings Tuesday for Aragua of the VWL.

Hill walked three and hit a batter. He went 5 1/3 innings without walking anyone in his first start in Venezuela, but he's issued 19 free passes in 14 innings since.

he was and likely still is on some kind of performance enhancers...
