I still object to Paxson being lumped in with Gar. We saw Paxson's work when he was GM. His only miss was Tyrus Thomas. That miss led to Derrick Rose, though.

Michael Reinsdorf is the problem. Things have gone downhill since he was given power.

When you look at it that way, you are correct...Pax was pretty good when he was actually General Managing. Question is....was Gar his selection or Michael Reinsdorf? I didn't realize the Michael Reinsdorf reign started back in 2010. I thought it was more recent. 2011-12 is when the White Sox truly became a clown show...funny how that lines up.

Chandler and Aldridge weren't his. He got Butler and Taj late in the draft, too. Choking out Del Negro didn't hurt either.

I doubt Gar was his guy. You can argue the check for going upstairs shouldn't have been worth it for Paxson and his legacy. I'm not sure if Michael Reinsdorf has gotten anything right.
