This series is good and getting better.

It has the appropriate tone.

Ed O'Neil certainly knows how to play that kind of character. He's really lived a charmed life. His career took off when most are ending. 22 years of hit shows that now provide passive income in syndication.

For those on the fence here, the most recent episode had Al Bundy do the “sir, I asked if this is your handwriting” answer and it exceeded my very high expectations.

Ed O'Neil was on the WTF podcast and he seems like a cool dude from the Midwest

Just finished. Under the radar good, very good. Sterlings wife was a great performance (although truth be told, I was convinced it was Sally Struthers of All in The Family same. She was not Sally Struthers)

I think all movies/shows about a racist are, for the most part, pretty good. Race and Racism is box office gold for Hollywood.

Also, Laurence Fishburne playing Doc Rivers cracks me up for some reason. So I want to see that character.

Fishburne must not being getting many good offers if he's taking this role. He was once a big time star.

2nd'ed on the actress for Sterling's wife. Fantastic. I'm convinced V. Stiviano must have been a consultant on this thing, it's told very favorably from her point of view while still portraying her crazy. Fishbourne at this stage in his career highly resembles Jabba the Hut, and I couldn't shake the image. Doc Rivers being portrayed as a great coach was a little much. But overall, great series. Haven't seen the last episode yet. Ed O'Neil is fantastic as a terrible person.

The last couple of episodes poorly wrapped up the story.

It's like the writers wanted certain people to be heroes of the story but didn't know how to execute it on paper and in the end, no one really looked any better or worse than Sterling himself (possibly because of the brilliance of O'Neil in this type of role). They also couldn't convert the nonsensical thought that playing in the NBA is equivalent to slavery and that team owners are a cabal of modern day plantationers.

In conclusion, I liked it enough for a watch. It could have been reduced to a two hour story. You won't be missing anything if you don't watch but it's a decent little reprieve from your miserable life if you do.

felt way rushed at the end and yes, heroes had to be established apparently when really there were very few if any. Not a bad waste of my time though.
