not sure why both boog and junior soprano deshaies need to bullshit us about imanaga. boog claimed and deshaies agreed, that imanaga was throwing the same mph fastball (today 89-91), when he was baffling everyone the first 2 months of the season.

just watched imanaga x ohtani in april again - imanaga threw high fastballs at 93-93-93-94-94-94 (swing and miss, K). today, he was throwing 89-90 mph fastballs and the mets went to town.

it's ok, marquee. we knew if imanaga was always as good as he was in april and may, he would have been in the majors 5 years ago. he's going to 'regress' a bit. it's ok.

talk about hoerner and wisdom are fouling quintana's 91-92 mph fastballs and not barreling up.

here's the AB. it's clearly not the same pitcher as far as velocity. the ohtani AB in april - an average fastball speed of 93.5 mph.

poor boog had to wear a suit jacket last night and then got hit with espn factoids about the cubs hitting that would cause marquee computer graphics to malfunction. i think it was olney who ripped into the cubs hitting for 2 or so minutes. prior to that outburst, both perez and cone didn't have the nicest things to say about assad, and that's before assad got into trouble. it's ok about assad, we knew he wasn't luis tiant, it's the hitting that is disgusting.

Boog and Joe Girardi are so boring! I respect Girardi’s opinions as a good MLB catcher and a very good manager, but he seems to barely have a pulse in the booth. Boog is one of the worst play by play announcers that I have ever heard. He is the weird kid in school who tries to be funny and is not. I would almost rather listen to Hawk Harrelson do White Sox games. That’s how bad and boring Boog is. Who cares about all of his references to shoes and batting gloves? When did baseball become fashion TV? JD saves Boog every game and when he or Pat Hughes are not doing the games on Marquee, you might as well mute the TV. How many years left on Boog’s contract? We have endured enough!

Marquis has the Iowa Cubs game on right now, They are losing to Memphis 18-2 in midway through the 4th. They have given up 21 hits already. All the greats like Mastrobuoni, Tomas Nido, Mervis and some guy named Strumpf are in the line-up.
