That’s the guy you want to build around for sure. At least he’s got that average up to 200.

As much as I want to blame Pedro, outside of Wilson (who wasn't good today), they are bringing out cast-offs, mediocre options (being nice). It's a complete crapshoot as to whom, or if, he can rely on any given day.

Also, 5 hits through 8 innings. They don't hit consistently, their starting rotation hasn't been awful outside of a few rough ones, but the bullpen has to be the worst in the league.

It got bizarre post game when DeJong talked about being in a trance from a minutes earlier (only grazing) hbp review.

DeJong said he was “emotionally invested in the review that maybe took me out of the rhythm of the game, but I have to do better to check in once the game gets going again.”

This morning Levine provided cover for DeJong, saying “you could make an argument that even though the White Sox were down 2–1 and DeJong was the tying run, they weren’t going to win that game.”

WTF?

You're right on. We went to a RANCHO CUCAMONGA QUAKES GAME LAST NIGHT. The DODGERS 1A affiliate. I would say that their team would easily be competitive with the Sox assembly in Chicago right now. Especially on defense.

Levine after saying the play didn't really matter because the Sox weren't going to win anyway came pretty close to saying that the quality of the human being should be used in judgment of player's on field production.

THAT DING DONG of a White Sox announcer really fits for what is going on with this crap team. Yesterday I watched a bit of the game and this dork actually stated how proud he was that the player stood up and took responsibility for his dumb ass mistake.

Hey, jerk-off. WHAT THE FUCK WAS THE PIECE OF SHITS OPTIONS OTHER THAN DOING THAT? Unfuckingbelieveabl!!!!!!!!!!

"While Chicago White Sox manager Pedro Grifol’s future is uncertain past this season, one name that is floating around internally as a potential replacement in 2025 is Skip Schumaker, manager of the Miami Marlins," Nightengale wrote Sunday.

Schumaker, 44, is the current manager of the Marlins, who share the bottom of the standings with the White Sox with the second-worst record in baseball (26-50).

The former fifth-round pick in the 2001 MLB entry draft played 11 seasons in the majors. Predominantly, Schumaker played the first eight seasons of his career with the Cardinals under Tony La Russa, the former White Sox manager who "will be an integral part of the decision-making process," according to Nightengale.

 This team!!?!?

worst record in baseball. manager sucks. Where should we go to find another manager? How about the team with the 2nd worst record in the game?

Schriffen & Stone said their hotel isn't in Detroit. Suburb 30 minutes away with a "walkable' downtown.

There's nothing to study. He's unathletic. What would be worth studying is how a dork can hit a 95 MPH fastball.

Poor Counsie is on pace to have his lowest non-Covid season win total in 8 years. On pace for ~6 wins less than what Grampa Rossy did last season.

You're a guru at making shitty, uninformed posts.

I'm more bothered that TLR would play any role in the hire of a manager. If it's not Getz's decision, is he the GM?

Also, it makes no difference who they hire if they do not drastically improve the talent. They appear to have some starting pitching talent with Crochet (assuming no trade), Thorpe and maybe a few arms in the minors, but they are drastically lacking in positional talent and even their best guy (Montgomery) has regressed. They are probably at least 2 years away from being even close to average and that's assuming they are able to develop minor league talent they do have and spend money on the roster.

Brain dead take from a brain dead Sox fan . imagine being so Duggin on your hatred for the White Sox that literally everything is their fault, even believing a player is healthy when he says he is and he’s cleared to play

OMG WHY WERE THEY PLAYING ELOY , HE WAS STILL HURT !!!
He just played a week in Arizona after being cleared and was fine
SO ???? WHAT ABOUT HIS HISTORY ??? THEY SHOULD HOLD HIM OUT UNTIL … HE’S REALLY READY !!!

Another close call for Kopech almost hitting a Dodger in the head. He has no idea where the ball is going.

Really? I saw the one where he hit the bill of the helmet a few weeks ago. He was one inch from blinding or killing that guy.
