Really? I saw the one where he hit the bill of the helmet a few weeks ago. He was one inch from blinding or killing that guy.

If by some miracle the White Sox were .500 the rest of '24 they'd still have 100 losses.

I understand why teams would be interested, but why would Philly give up a "haul" for an injury prone player? If last year was his peak value, I don't think they would get more than 50-60% of that right now.

The Phillies don't really have "a haul" to give. To me, "a haul" should include at least one top 10 type of guy. Also, this current batch of MLB prospects does not seem very top heavy and the only teams that can give "a haul" are not likely to do so.

I can't help but think of the haul we got for Sale and the haul for Eaton and the haul for Quintana.

If memory serves, guys like Moncada and Eloy were considered to be better prospects than anything that's available now. They should try the radical idea of keeping their best players and seeing what happens.

Pham should have caught that Ohtani homer, but of course didn’t even come close to touching it as it bounced off the top of the fence.

Yep. Crochet, Fede, Robert, no one would have any use for those guys.

Youre right. They've done so much for the Sox. Really made the guys around them better and carried the team on their backs.

I guess no one will be interested in trading for them, because they suck.

Well... they're not winners. Really never were. How long has it been since Robert was a winner? Or... is it his robust offensive season? Truth is I don't think he sucks. I think he's probably badly injured.

True. They're not winners, but how many "winners" are there in baseball? It's not basketball where, if you're really good, you can make your presence felt all over the court, you're kind of stuck in your lane. To be a "winner" in baseball, you have to be the type of guy to get in someone else's face. I think they're very few guys like that out there.

He’s fucking terrible but it is fitting for this team. Is there anyone that really believes he should be calling MLB games. Say what you want about Benetti but he was a professional. This guy is a fucking clown.

Lame, but no worse than Kasper with the Cubs. And he was revered.

It looks like they at least considered keeping Crochet.

Rockies with at least 6 stellar defensive plays today.

Schriffen in addition to small sample size Sox player success praising I noticed he has another fun gimmick. He praises eventually all Sox players for vast improvements in a facet of their game through off or in season hard work.

White Sox on pace for 117 losses.

one of my biggest bets ever also coincided with my luckiest bet ever...had over 7.5 yesterday
tied 2-2 going into extras i didn't appear to have a chance, the fact i got it was insanely lucky.

A very pleasant day at the ballpark yesterday. Sucks to have such a long game, but we saw some great defense in CF. The Kids Zone/Fundamentals deck and the Kid's Club is the one thing the Sox consistently do incredibly well. It's always a unique grab bag for the kids with decent souvenirs, not some trinkety bullshit. There were a lot of free activities on the concourse for kids as well (balloon animals, caricatures, face painting, a few NASCAR related games/giveaway). I had never been in attendance for any game at any level that had a 14th inning stretch until yesterday.

Grabbed cheap upper deck seats and ended up sitting at the top of Sec 130 all game. Shade and great sightlines.

He continues to be a cheerleader vs. just calling the game. Most optimistic play by play announcer ever for a 120 loss team.

Here’s what I posted when he went to the Sox

Quote:
Finally the Cubs get some measure of revenge for the horrible Quintana trade. Enjoy the stats reading charisma vortex that is Len Kasper. Probably works better on radio than TV at least. Here’s hoping they can get Tommy Williams out of the Gary Railcats booth to replace him. T-Dub is probably the best they can do with their budget. A “Howdy Padnah” home run call would be swell.

T-Dub may still be better than Kasper.
