whats wrong with this pick?

I can see being upset with the first pick, but there were several guys all about the same available here. They took one and hopefully he develops.

Who did you want?

seems as though the chicago hockey club just wanted to pick in front of montreal. you know montreal wanted boisvert at #21. canadiens can get another top FWD in eiserman or connelly at #21. if they get one of those FWDs, with demidov, they'll get a higher draft grade.

levshunov and boisvert

or

demidov and eiserman/connelly

i'd take demidov and eiserman/connelly every time.

there goes connelly...i never really thought the hawks would take him. the club is very sensitive about controversy.

pierre lebrun telling us that..

the blackhawks offered columbus the blackhawks 1st rounder next year and another pick (unknown), for columbus' #4 pick, earlier this evening. i wonder when did they offer this? after they made the #2 selection? i wonder if they wanted levshunov and demidov? maybe levshunov and lindstrom, for themselves? le brun says columbus liked lindstrom too much and rejected the offer.

The difference is Eiserman isn’t interested in playing defense. He’s got some Patrick Laine in him…

I’m good with all their picks. Good skaters, hard workers, not afraid of contact, willing to get dirty, a bit of snarl in all them. Will they pan out? Who knows?

willing to trust kyle and his brain-trust - did a good job of tearing down the club and erasing tens of millions off the cap. willing to give him a chance to do the same good job on developing the prospects drafted and this year's draftees. i'd be a bit more aggressive chasing UFAs this off-season. easy for me to say, it's not my money. free agency starts july 1, i believe, we'll see if they get at least one big name. still nowhere near the cap floor.

Yeah, they need a real winger to play with Bedard. I think he won’t hand out long term deals but I could see 3 year deals with a slightly higher average salary.

seen this guy on podcasts...his grade for the blackhawks was an 'A'. he's one of the analysts that was flying the levshunov flag as opposed to demidov.

he gave an 'A+' to the sharks. the sharks took:

Quote:
First rounders:

Macklin Celebrini, C
Sam Dickinson, D
Day 2 Picks:

Igor Chernyshov, LW
Leo Sahlin Wallenius, D
Carson Wetsch, RW
Christian Kirsch, G
Colton Roberts, D
Nate Misskey, D
Yaroslav Korostelyov, G

their first 4 picks were projected - for the most part - as first rounders.
