I can’t wait until I understand why Bronny only chose 2 teams out of the 10 invites to workout — just the Lakers and Suns. It’s a head scratcher. We’ll see what the Suns do at #22.

If Durant’s really available, I want to see him go to OKC. That would hit like crack.

I think everyone has agreed to let the Lakers take him. All it takes is for one GM to be an asshole.

Who else would want him? OKC could throw away one of their 40 picks on him, but other teams have to be more judicious.

Some team should take him and then demand the Lakers #1 pick next year for him.

Supposedly he did well at the draft combine so a lot of teams may want to take a flier on him. The last name helps. I think Rich Paul being one of the better agents in the league may work in the Lakers favor. Bronny isn't worth pissing off the guy who could take your star player to another team.

Lebron is going to be 40. Rob Pelinka is deep into his toupee years. The lakers pick will be late teens. They have nothing of value aside from the youngish white guy.

They're planning on offering LeBron 3 years and $160M. He's still a great player, but they're in basketball he'll because AD can't take the reins.

For a handful of players if they will except 12 million. If not, he is taking the max.

Looks like Paul George is signing with Philly.

Quote:
Paul George is by far the biggest name on the NBA's 2024 free-agent market, and while he hasn't officially announced a decision, it looks like one team is clearly in pole position. According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, George's agent, Aaron Mintz of CAA, spoke with the Clippers and neither side budged on their contract demands. Both sides then acknowledged that a return was unlikely, and now, the Philadelphia 76ers are the strong front-runners for his services.

The Clippers, then, released a statement that confirmed George is moving on.

"Paul has informed us that he is signing his next contract with another team," the Clippers said. "Paul is a tremendous talent and an elite two-way player. ...We negotiated for months Paul and his representative on a contract that would make sense for both sides, and we were left far apart. The gap was significant. We understand and respect Paul's decision to look elsewhere for his next contract."

That reads like the bitter Clippers are trying to lower the value of his future contract by telling the Sixers they are out of the game, so they can kill George's leverage.

Jimmy Buckets >> Paul George

I think it's on the level. He wants 4 yrs at max money and they aren't going past 3. And they already locked Kawhi up for 3 and I believe they don't want to give him more than 3 out of fear that it might piss Kawhi off.
Also read that the Clippers are trying to become fiscally responsible due to the Néw collective bargaining agreement.
Paul George is a better player than Jimmy Buckets.

Jimmy Buckets just keeps leading inferior teams to the NBA Finals. Paul George fails to get stacked teams past the 1st round.

Jimmy Butler's team didn't make the playoffs this year and had to make the playoffs via the play in the previous year.
Plus he benefits greatly from playing in the East. No way in hell he'd ever make it past the 1sr round in the West with that squad.
