The type of baseball that Roberts is playing certainly is downgrading any trade value he has to a contending club. I know that the players of other clubs wouldn't be excited about having a dog like him in the outfield with them. This shit happening with a player isn't something that is easily remedied. This usually is ingrained in a person where they think that only fools work hard to excel. Unfortunately both Roberts and before him Moncada both had this mind set in them when they were given all of that money so early in their career.

I was amazed when I heard some trade buzz around him a few weeks ago. It had him connected to Kansas City, which has seen enough to know better. Although, it might have been Getz bullshit.

Maybe a team with a better bullpen uses him in the 6th or 7th inning. He may have some success as a setup guy, as he was pretty good in that role in 2021. Still though he walks far too many guys.
