What they did to Joe finally got him. This man has to hold the record for hospice care.

My guy said that too. He wants to live to see the first woman president.

A Presidential candidate of the same party as a former President who passed away in an election year has never lost a Presidential election held the same year.

Bill Clinton has the shakes. I'm fine with sacrificing him instead of Carter.

Closer to the election would be better. A Democrat Presidential funeral in October would be ideal. Carter would garner more sympathy/solidarity votes than Bubba. Some folks feel James Earl gets a raw deal from an historical perspective, with Reagan taking credit for initiatives Carter started.

Carter clocks 100 October 1. So maybe he has that goal in mind already.

I wonder what his Secret Service detail is like. Supposedly these guys get lifetime protection. I'd imagine it could be a punishment job or maybe even a cake job depending how you look at it.

I imagine you sit around alot and play cards with the other guys working. It's the only thing I can imagine happening.

Good for him. I don't think he'd mind if the Lord called him home at this point

It’s like getting Montana in the Border Patrol. Lifetime achievement award.

It sounds like he does. He was still reading and having conversations. I imagine he would still want a pillow over his face at this point. A million years of hospice is cruel. His wife got tired of waiting for him.
