Dumping more salary. Are these moves a precursor to a sale of the team?

Normally owners load up before a sale to give the appearance of potential competitiveness.

Eloy's laziness & low baseball IQ will be interesting to follow on a quality Orioles organization.

The Quintana/Eloy&Cease trade is now over.

The White Sox won the early battle and then lead a rousing comeback to tie the Cubs for absolute suckage for both teams on the trade.

Sosa for G.Bell will still go down as the best White Sox/Cubs trade in history. (Cubs)

Matt Karchner to the Cubs for Jon Garland (White Sox) Sosa>Garland

Pretty crazy. It's probably a matter of time before Crochet is shut down or further limited down the stretch.....

Thorpe has hit the skids now too....

Fedde gone...

No re-enforcements coming from any of these trades, just players leaving for 2027 maybe's.

Outside of a 6 games vs. Oakland, I'm not sure if there are any games they can realistically win unless their starting pitcher throws a shut-out, which isn't likely given inning restrictions.

Oakland might as well be the 27 Yankees

Opponents will be focused because of the embarrassment factor. Even Oakland.

I’d be curious to hear what teams were offering for Robert. It had to be like 10c on the dollar…but maybe he really is only worth 10c.

It doesn't sound like there was much interest in him. It would have to been extremely low value

Yep, Oakland is probably significantly better than the White Sox at this point. It's really hard to see the White Sox winning a series, much less winning more than 3-5 games per month.

Thorpe lit up last night. After the Tatis Jr disaster, you think they would avoid dealing with San Diego

Thorpe has hit the skids. Was doing well in his first 6 or 7 starts, but seems to have little room for error since he's not going to be throw it past anyone.

#6 reason why baseball is dying. Used to able to trick guys. Now you can't. Heat is the only answer.

After seeing 95-100 MPH, low 90s must look like a beachball

Did Getz also negotiate the Russia hostage exchange?
