Voided if you had the point spread?

Paid if you had the over? Loss if you had the under? Since that was decided and legit.

Everything voided regardless?

How does this work? What's the rule?

Bet you it's a controversy tomorrow.

I know it happens, but people that bet on preseason games are crazy.

Games have to go 55 mins for full game sides and totals to have action.

I know people who bet more on NFLX than regular season games.
I bet NFLX...didnt bet this one.
There are some nice situations in NFLX

First half bets and total were settled because it went over. Bets on full game spread and moneyline were voided.

Supposed to start 1/1/25

Wonde if the other legal books will follow suit or take a wait and see approach.

DK is essentially tied with FanDuel for marketshare in IL at around 35%

It's like when Amazon and Ebay started collecting taxes.

Preseason betting is better than regular season. Lines not as sharp. Way more value than NFL regular season.

it's kind of a total crapshoot though . it went way over the original number, but everyone here seemed to be expecting a slog, i wouldn't have been surprised had it finished 14-6 or something like that.

But you never know who is playing for each team and for how long. Nothing is set at all. There is no way to really judge anything.

NFL coaches are more open about who will and wont play in these games. Plus coaches gets reps for either trying to win or not giving a shit. It is not every preseason game, but there are definite opportunities to get a good bet in.

It is a lot worse than that. If bet games at the the typical -110, you have to wins 52.4 percent of the time to break even. The best in the world only win about 55-56% of their games. Taking an additional 3 percent of the top when you win means you are not ever winning.

Not to mention moneyline wagers, where they really bend you over with ridiculous spreads.

"it's really fairly normal" LOL

DraftKings CEO and co-founder Jason Robbins said of the surcharge: “It’s really fairly nominal, and it makes a huge difference in our ability to make a reasonable margin and also, more importantly, to compete with the illegal [online sports betting] market, which pays no taxes and can invest 100% of their revenue into product and other things. To be competitive with the illegal market and invest properly in product and customer experience in a state with a very high tax rate, we feel it is an important step that consumers will ultimately understand.”
The company believes other states may be cautious about raising taxes on the online sports betting industry because of the surcharge and costs falling on players.

After FanDuel said it won't follow DraftKings in implementing a surcharge, DraftKings followed FanDuel and canceled its plan.
