I would have preferred a current member of the Top 100, rather than a former member who has underperformed at the big league level. Also, I like acquiring lottery tickets, but the two teenage guys they acquired sound more like $500 scratch offs than mega millions tickets.

I'm amazed anybody wanted Eloy, for any reason. It also didn't seem like there were any real blue chip prospects that got moved this year.

In recent games, Stone has mentioned how hard Eloy has been hitting the ball (and with more elevation). Maybe a team like Baltimore is also aware of this and think he can be a gamble with little downside off the bench or as an occasional DH (not sure if he'll have an actual role on Baltimore)

White Sox could have had a pretty good prospect from the Twins for Fedde but did not want to trade him in the division

the guy they got from the dodgers was top 40 last year. In theory, his ceiling is higher than the twins guy.

Not an expert on minor leaguers, but comparing turning down a top 100 prospect vs. getting back a formerly top 50 guy who has flopped and two bottom of half of the Dodgers top 25 prospects...seems like a curious move. Vargas is supposedly the best part of this deal for the White Sox and he's described as more of a bust these days than prospect.

Really stupid if Getz doesn't want to trade in the division. The White Sox are at least years away from being average. By that time, Fedde will probably be declining and it's not as if it matters who wins the AL Central if the White Sox are going to finish 50 games behind.
