Some hilarious reporting by the NY Post:
Quote:
Railey Greeson and Brooklyn Shuler — the two Georgia teachers arrested for allegedly having sex with three students — were well known for their behavior at their small-town high school even before they were busted, according to parents.
“I’m not trying to stereotype, but you could look at them and tell they were trouble,” said Audrey Decker, whose stepdaughter attends the school.
“They just seemed boy-crazy. And everyone in the school knew it and joked about it.”
Another parent agreed. “Ugh, they were flirts,” said the mom of a sophomore, who asked The Post not to use her name.
“You should have seen them with any attractive parents who came to the school. They would flirt with any of the dads.”
“You know: laughing too loud, getting too close, that type of thing,” continued the mom.
“Flirting. Trying to be cute. They were shameless.”
The friendship between Greeson and Shuler goes back several years.
Greeson was Shuler’s maid of honor at her wedding in Tunnel Hill, Georgia, on Nov. 12, 2022 — months after the alleged sexual relationship with the student.
According to the couple’s wedding site, which has since been scrubbed, Greeson described Shuler as her “best friend” and her “ride or die.”
Nearly a year later, Shuler was a bridesmaid at Greeson’s wedding in October 2023.
Shuler seems to have split with her husband, whose social media appear to show him in a new relationship with another woman. Greeson still appears to be married to her husband, according to social media posts.
Greeson and Shuler worked together at the school district until they were slapped with charges last Thursday for allegedly sleeping with male high school students between October 2021 and January 2022, according to an indictment first obtained by 11Alive.
According to the indictment, Greeson allegedly had sex with two different male students between Oct. 29, 2021, and Jan. 3, 2022. Shuler was indicted on charges that she had sex with a different male student, also between those same dates.
Greeson described Shuler as her “best friend” and her “ride or die.”
Shuler was a bridesmaid at Greeson’s wedding.
The women each face charges of sexual contact by an employee or agent in the first degree.
While the indictment does not specify the age of the students, the wording of the charges seems to indicate they may have been above the age of consent, which is 16 in Georgia.
The indictment alleges that the women “reasonably should have known” that the boys were enrolled in the school district, but it does not claim they had direct contact with the boys as educators.
Calhoun City Schools has not responded to The Post’s request for comment.
