Nobody is talking about how Bagent has performed better than than Caleb Williams if you would be honest about it also.

He's been playing against people who won't be on a roster in September. Chill your boner man.

I mean Fields isn't playing against people who will be on a roster in September either so I have to agree with Hawk on this one. In fact, Fields failed to score in an entire 2nd half vs the same D Bagent lit up the week before.

The line is bad, he had no time , receivers dropped passes , no one was open.

Took the +6400 being offered at Circa on the Steelers to be the last team to win it's first game.
Let's see how bad they can be.

JT breaks down the film. Fields' passing computer is still a couple of ticks off.

This is stuff you fix in High School, it doesn't get fixed your 4th year in the league.

It was really bad. He can't make a decision and he's afraid in the pocket. It may be PTSD from that Browns game under Nagy.

These problems were apparent back when he was at OSU (I was not a fan of the pick for that reason). They just got masked by what was a weak Big Ten during that time.

Fields is going to start and we are going to get that 4th.

This could end up being a very good draft for the bears

How many starts does he need to get that pick?

If he meets the quota the Steelers also have to rescind the Chase Claypool trade posthumously

I thought that “much better coaching situation” in Pittsburgh would rid poor Justin Fields of his horseshit ability to see the field.

Almost every rookie QB is running laps around Fields in development. Fields can't even beat out a broke down R.Wilson.

Quote:
After two games in the preseason facing the Houston Texans and the Buffalo Bills, the offense for the Pittsburgh Steelers has been terrible. Both, Wilson and Fields, haven’t look good at all. However, according to Mike Tomlin, Russell is still in pole position. “Nothing has changed.”

It makes sense to start the season with Wilson and then switch to Fields if Wilson struggles. The media aggregators are already clamoring for Fields. It'll get louder if Wilson is bad.

Kenny Picket and the Steelers offense looked like world beaters last preseason with Kenny Picket. How'd that work out once the real games began?

The preseason means nothing. In fact, more teams that go winless in the preseason make the playoffs than teams who go undefeated. The season will start soon enough and we will all find out together.

The most important thing is Caleb becomes a star. Then the franchise will consistently make the playoffs. So the preseason showed he has pocket awareness, makes incredible throws, and improvises. He clearly has the talent and moxy to be great. That is what I take away from this preseason.

Mike Ditker will be screaming at Bannockburn Jewel-Osco Employee of the Month, Kaleb Williams, this time next year.

Justin Fields will be continuing on his trajectory to Canton.

But didn't "we" tell you that Justin Fields can't throw?

https://beargoggleson.com/posts/bears-f ... j5x0srfy3t

Quote:
We'll see how that pans out for the Packers, as the league now has a full season of film on Love.

Meanwhile, Fields' percentage of incompletions which came from inaccurate passes is almost a full six percent lower than Love's was in 2023. It's funny how the narrative had become just how bad of a passer Fields was, how he couldn't see the field well, etc.

While Fields still has his flaws, this is proof that when he did let it rip, he threw a more accurate ball than Love more often than not.

He always just seems to "lurk" for some very strange reason. Don't know why, though I do have my "suspicions"

And it's rather dumb to call a stat "stupid" that sort of explains why the "top quarterbacks" in the league are considered the "top quarterbacks" in the league also.

What do I do around here? I read some posts. I sometimes comment on them. Sometimes I start a thread but it's been a while. Sometimes I point out when some schmuck is posting a stupid stat. It depends on what the day brings.

You're weird and creepy. Like quite a few of the weirdo Right Wing types that post around here.
