1 walk in 10 innings, huh? So for 3 years he's hitting the mascot and the very second he puts on another uniform it's 0-1, 0-2? What exactly should I make of this? Am I to assume somebody over there in southern California sat him down and said, "Hey I got this weird idea. You know, with your stuff, and I know this sounds insane, how about trying to throw strikes, like all the time, like basically every pitch, and see what happens?"

That can't be possible...can it?

Sometimes the difference between good and bad coaching is a matter of suggesting minor adjustments that are easily implemented but yield significant results. You see it all the time in youth, high school, and sometimes even in college sports. Perhaps that is the case here as well.

Maybe the difference is that he doesn’t have Katz suggesting anything. Sometimes players just need coaches that don’t fuck them up.

Very true.

Ok, enough with the facetiousness. Mechanics guys(Katz), they're fine, repeatable motion, arm angle, grip, balance, spin rate, position through delivery, all that is muy fantastico. But a good pitching coach deals between the ears. I want to take that clipboard Katz has and beat him bloody with it. Just like I wanted to strangle Larry Rothchild with his towels.

I can't wait for 6 inning minimums. Maybe somebody will learn something about pitching.

That would be awesome. Only let them come out before six innings if they’ve given up at least six runs. If they need to come out for injury or any other reason, mandatory 10-day IL stint.

Lopez and Kopech were my guys. You could see the possibilities with Kopech if he could find some consistency.

Kopech was always full of potential, but never displayed it consistently. Flashes and some periods of time where he was fantastic, but he's off to a great start in LA now. Good luck to him. I hope the White Sox benefit from that trade in 2027.

He'll fuck things up when the play-offs start. He's too dumb to last.

Credit to the Dodgers for developing him by giving him a different shirt.

It's nice to see a former White Sox Phenom continue to dazzle in a new environment.
