For all of the talk of Caleb playing against 2nd string defenses, Fields is playing against guys who won't even make the practice squad with him going into the 4th quarter on the 2nd preseason game.

JT O'Sullivan dissects Caleb Williams' performance against the Bengals: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GAQ5elDXcR8&t=1s.

He concludes his analysis by calling Williams "dynamic," "a crazy playmaker" with "unbelievable arm talent", and "special".

Some other observations:
1) He says Everett had a terrible game and ran lazy, sloppy routes;
2) Repeatedly says Keenan Allen looks slow;
3) Did not love DJ Moore's game;
4) Says Rome Odunze looks like a #1;
5) Believes Kmet is much more explosive than last season;
6) Thinks Waldron's play calling sucked.

JT should know better than judging a player like Allen based on a pre season game.

I think the Bears are giving Everett more time/attention than Kmet because they know what they have in Kmet. I think the playing time flips on opening day. I wouldn't bet on Kmet matching last year though, because of the heavily increased talent around him.

Shouldn't we be concerned that Keenan Allen is reportedly 30 pounds overweight?

I don't think he's judging the player so much as he is pointing out what he sees on film.

If Allen plays faster during the regular season, I'm sure he'll point that out.

I don't get criticizing play calling during preseason. You are going to be keeping most of your plays close to the chest to keep them off of film.

Allen was reportedly lighting up Bengals DBs during the scrimmage last week.

it looks like he just needs content to fill the space until the regular season.

Sullivan's analysis is as bad as it gets in sports.

It was actually more play design that he was criticizing. If you watch the video, you'll see that some of the routes don't make sense.

This kid is going to be special or end up in a padded room. There's no in-between. I love it! Jordan was drafted in 1984 and 40 years later we get another one.

Watch his PMT interview that released this morning. He's a guy who clearly motivates himself from consuming detractors. He has every reason to be as confident as he is.

This kid is going to have streets in this city named after him.

Uhh...I saw Jordan change directions in mid air. He jumped, looked around, stuck his tongue out and then took a left turn. Keep His name out of Caleb's mouth.

40 years ago Jordan was in the college library studying geography. What is that? Rocks and minerals?

So after seeing Caleb in two preseason games, my biggest worry is that he's very functional in off-platform throws where the play breaks down, but like Shaun King, I didn't see a guy working in the pocket with timing and rhythm. I know its far too early to worry about this, but it seemed like Bagent was more comfortable with timing in this offense against the backups.

0 turnovers in the first 2 games. And statisticaly (with fewer weapons at his disposal) He's actually performing better than Caleb Williams thus far. Not that the "gurus" here bothered to actually notice.

Honestly man, it's the preseason. Look, I hope he's the next Patrick Mahomes and the Bears fucked him over. I really do. He seems like a great guy and deserves it. That said.. He. Is. Fucking. Awful. In. Important. Game. Situations. Pre-season is not an important game situation. Let's talk when Fields is better than a 24 QBR in the last two minutes of the half. Let's talk when Fields is better than a 28 QBR in the fourth quarter when the score is close. He's bad under pressure when the game actually matters. Hopefully that gets fixed, but I doubt it.

no response.

He's good. He's inclined to pile on and also inclined towards getting overly excited but he's the best guy I've found out there for not only evaluating QB but OL and offensive coordinators.

I just heard the Wiederer interview. Caleb loves the Brady and Kobe mentality. He looks up to both players. I think I'm in love.
