Exactly

100% wrong

Depends on what you mean by worst. If you mean you judge by ability to interview guests, speaking in a clear and coherent manner, engage in brevity when appropriate, avoid loquaciousness, be able to speak intelligently on a wide variety of subjects whilst improvising if conversations don't go as hoped for and being generally entertaining and funny, then yeah he's the worst. But if you mean get ratings from meatheads who didn't see then end of the game last night because their wives wanted to watch dancing with the stars then you're right, he's wrong.

Mulli is trash, but Haugh should be drawn, quartered, and forced to listen to recordings of himself.

In that order?

The most fundamental skill of a sports talk radio host is to be able to articulate a coherent thought. Mulli cannot do that. Haugh looks like Abraham Lincoln next to Mulli.

I would prefer Haugh blew me for the rest of his life, just so he never had the opportunity to speak again.

Six years now that Haugh has been offering absolutely nothing.

Terry Boers spent a decade+ making old man noises into the mic and just sort of yelling half-jokes.

Guy is a legend.

You're not wrong. And when he attempted to give a sports thought towards the end he would get sidetracked by his own bit which would in turn get sidetracked by another bit.

It is interesting that Goff hasn’t been a sub yet. You’d think that would have happened. Did Spiegel say Goff is subbing next week?

You think you have a strong feeling about it? I'd prefer being forced to watch him do it than hear him on the radio.

or did you guys ever stop to think that maybe they’re not interested in bringing him back or that he’s not interested in taking the gig?

I hope that's true.

I think it's the easiest path though.

I want this to be a rebuild. I don't think I'm going to get that and it's more likely to be the same general attitude but on steroids if you add him to the mix.

Too many rehashed/tired/lecturing hosts who just repeat each other.

Fresh blood, but most likely Goff will be more of the same.

Boers did not have a coherent thought after 1996 or so.

Moncada and Lopez are worse then Vargas.

I wouldn't know. But how do you get a -0.8 WAR in 69 AB? Seemed a good comp for Haugh.

Lopez is actually not a horrible reserve backup IF, but he's near the end of a roster and should have to earn a roster spot each season. Problem is, he plays most days as a lead-off hitter and is probably one of their top 5 hitters (which is really saying something) and explains why they struggle to score more than 2-3 runs.

that's quite inaccurate. But the last few years were a tough go a lot of days.

Haugh is below replacement level. I literally could come in a do a better job.

For how much I loved Boers he was a bullshit master. From his people to his voice mail machine. This is how Bernsie learned about hushed voices and his bs lines.

Yup, that was a bad take, it did go downhill after Larry Horse left, but Uncle Terry was still entertaining and was able to do something no other host has been able to do, put on a decent show working with Bernstein.

How so? Boers has always been overrated on this board. Even during "peak" Heavy Fuel Crew, he didn't have much to contribute and struggled to finish sentences.
