I'm no expert.

I still think Fields is talented

Most of us think he is talented. He just cannot process information at an NFL, so he takes off, takes sacks, and fumbles (from the hits) too often. He has incredible speed and NFL quality arm strength.

Yes, I wanted to keep him for multiple first round picks. That didn't happen, it's looks like they were never even close to having takers so now we have a prospect. Calling him a generational prospect is absurd.

Do people still not realize what a generation means?

I think you may be being too literal. Some aggregators are just regurgitating information they heard. That said, MANY are simply saying a guy with his talent and makeup don't come along often. I don't follow college football enough to know how accurate that is.

if he maxed everything out, he's Lamar Jackson. And I'm still not sure Lamar Jackson will win a super bowl.

Heinicke brought a conditional 6th round pick in a trade.
Contract status etc factors in .

Heinicke tops Fields in 18 of 23 Sharp's QB metrics and many of them weren't close.

Not selected as a captain. Mitch (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky was selected as a captain in Pittsburgh.

So you’re saying being named captain means pretty much nothing. Got it!

Other than being highly regarded by your Steelers teammates. They pick the captains.

In 2022 when he was the starting QB. Not last year when he was the backup. So I don't understand what point you are trying to make.

I understood the when and why.

What reason would I have to make the initial post? That's your answer.

Because backup QB's aren't selected as captains? Are you breaking news that he isn't starting?

It was 4.5 for a long time.

Going to use Atlanta in a couple of my survivor entries if Fields starts.

Funny considering his recover didn’t know he was hurt

Greenberg, Orlovsky, and Clark were absolutely orgasmic over the prospect of a Fields start this weekend.

They went so far to suggest that having Fields start the opener was the only way that the Steelers could save their season.

Well, you do have a known known that Wilson is cooked. You have a less known known in Fields. I always thought Fields had a 50/50 shot to be the starter. If he has a decent game, he starts again. Pittsburgh is @6.5 wins. Sounds a tad high to me with their schedule.

Fields could have a good year if he learned how to throw but that also likely didn't happen.
