I had this one down as a L when the schedule came out. I'm going to reverse that. I think the Bears defense is legit. I think their offense will correct the issues they had last week. Wright had ZERO problems with Will Anderson in college. That will continue in the pros. Bears win 20-13

Clearly, the offense must be much better. We got good field position out of some punt returns and failed to do anything with it. Texans won't make that same mistake. Cannot count on TDs from defense and special teams and I don't know if the offense is ready to go the length of the field multiple times, especially if Rome is out and Keenan is somewhat hobbled.

Bears lose by 10 or more.

Good test for the secondary.

Good opportunity for Caleb to show improvement. I’ll make lemonade here and say the absence of Rome may be an ok thing. I’d like him to take advantage of his vets and this will force the issue.

Playing Kmet more than Everett would help as well. Playing Herbert more than Homer would also help.

Kmet and Allen should be safety blankets. He needs to play smart enough to use those guys.

Texans have two legit DE's who that will give the average Bears OT's problems all day long, they will need at least solid play from the interior of the o line or it could be a very long day for Caleb Williams.

You could really see the impact of teams not playing guys in the preseason across the league last week, bad offensive line play leading to even worse QB play.

You also saw rookies struggling to adjust to the speed and athleticism differences, you didn't encounter monsters like Jeffrey Simmons in the old PAC 12.

I had this as an ‘L’ going into the season. Nothings changed after how bad the offense looked last game.

Waldron needs to come out running and try to wear down that D line. The Bears defense needs to pick up where it left off with that pass rush from last week -but make no mistake Stroud is no Will Levis so they can’t count on dumb mistakes from the opposing QB to keep them in this game.

After what we saw from the Bears in week 1 this could be an ugly loss, blowout level type loss. That’s why I think the Bears need to try to control the clock and wear down the defense with the run game.

Texans can be beat deep. The Bears got open deep last week but Caleb couldn't execute. It will be there for him and I think he hits this time. I'm looking for Scott to have a breakout game.

Deep routes need time to develop, and our O-line is terrible at pass blocking.. that’s a bad combo. I don’t doubt that the Bears will be able to take a few shots, but it’s nothing that I can see being a determining factor for them. Run the ball, control the clock, and try to wear down the defense. That’s the way to go. Waldron also needs to get a quick hit rhythm type of passing game going too, and Caleb needs to go heavy on check downs to keep things moving. Do that and there’s a chance. But the Texans are just a better team overall right now imo

The best player is Hunter and I don't think its close, but he is probably a CB in the pros which is an unusual position for top pick

That no one mentioned the raining rookie of the year CJ Stroud yet is criminal. It's something that can only happen on score airwaves. Actually i think it did because I'm quite sure no one at 670 focuses on Stroud when predicting what will happen on Sunday night. Just validates my decision to abandon ship on that station year's ago.

O-Line will be better and Caleb will erupt for enough offense to win this one. Bears will be 2-0

it's raining CJ Stroud

It's raining all over the world

Bears lose. Allen and Rome could both be out and if you watch the tape, the offensive line is terrible. Stroud is going to carve up the Bears.

I kinda like it. Social commentary on human beings' hypocrisy. Not me of course, I don't listen to these twats.

It would be nice not to get embarrassed yet again in another prime time game. I think the Bears hold the record for most embarrassing prime time performances.. if there is such a record. I kind of hate that the NFL scheduled the Bears prime time game so early in the season.

Ha.. I remember watching that game with friends and I was the only one that knew the rule because (if anyone recalls this) Bernard fucking Berrian had a TD at the end of a game against the Vikings recalled over this shit. He caught it in the end zone, came down with two feet and possession of the ball.. got pushed out of bounds by the defender and slid -maintaining possession mind you- then the ball came loose well outside of the slide and they called that shit incomplete because of that rule

Nobody remembers the Bears getting fucked by that rule 1st.. but me apparently lol..
