That they started targeting Kmet more late in the game was exactly what they should have been doing the past three weeks. If Allen is ever upright he can be a safety blanket out wide. Johnson needs to be the primary interior runner.

Yes to all of the above. If we can see it, why can't Waldron?

I am just trying to be objective about Williams. No one knows whether he is going to be good or bad yet. I like some of what I have seen, but lots to improve on.

The rest of complaints about this season so far are legitimate. Flus has been horrible. Waldon too.

44 of those yards on that pretty but useless hail mary.

How many came on that useless drive that wound up just icing the game for the Colts?

It took Justin Fields until the 4th start of his 3rd season to break the 300 yard passing mark.

Just getting started, especially since we just got done with Week 3. Who are the Bears drafting with their top pick this year?

You mean the 3 minute drive that gave the Bears defense a chance to give the offense the ball again with time to score again?

If Justin Fields would have thrown 2 ints (with at least 3 others that should have been picks) and fumbled during a critical stage of the game this crew of hypocrites would have been a over him. Hell they were all over him for botched snaps that weren't his fault and recovered fumbles during the preseason.

Right now he is clearly better than this kid and it ain't even close.

People looked past Fields bad games as a rookie just the same way, and Fields had exactly one game as a rookie as good or better than what Williams did yesterday.

Fields had a really good game over the weekend. I'm happy for him. It's not shocking that a player in year 4 may be playing better than a guy who hasn't even played in game 4 yet.

Nah dude. You repeatedly claimed that he sucked so it doesn't matter if he's in year 4 or 14. Like MANY you're looking rather foolish. Fields has been better in every game than Williams this season. Not just yesterday

Well, Fields can't throw. That hasn't really changed. He's developing into a game manager in Pittsburgh and often that is good enough to have a fairly decent career. Hopefully Fields plays long enough to get that 4th round pick.

Fields wasn't good in Chicago. It was time to move on.

You might want retire the "can't throw" garbage as it is making you look rather foolish. As is continuously claiming that it was time to move on. Thinking that it was time to move on is exactly the sort of thing that will get the GM fired.

And again you're the same guy who repeatedly claimed that he sucked. Now you pretend that you always knew he'd be better because he is in year 4.

The Steelers are limiting his throws and running a very conservative offense for him. It's got them at 3-0 though so they are fine with it.

Again, I don't believe I ever said that Williams would be better than Fields this year. Williams can throw the ball and Fields can't but Williams has been a turnover machine as rookies often are.

"Williams can throw". Yeah to places where his receivers aren't and in the hands of the other team :

Career 300 yard games:
Fields(43 games): 1
Williams(3 games): 1

Even if you subtract the hail mary, Williams still passed for over 300 yards.

Caleb Williams was the orchestrater of an offense which had scored 1 touchdown in its first 34 possessions. Ouch.
And the only reason that the Bears aren't 0-3 is because the defense won game 1 for them.
