Remind me again how great Love was his first couple games and the beginning of last season?

You are missing one very important ingredient, our offensive line doesn’t suck and thankfully we have a GM that understands the importance of the position. You better hope your guy doesn’t die.

What was Love's status for the last two games? How did that protection work out for him so far this year?

Could have played yesterday and if you don’t think their is a difference between the Packers and Bears lines, you are just not smart.

No No No don't crap me Hawg. You claimed that Sacks were due to a lack "Pocket Presence" on the part of the QB more than terrible line play.

The "Pretender" in Pittsburgh has looked better than "Entitled" Caleb from the moment he laced him up this summer. People forget (or just simply ignore) that Caleb Williams sucked ads throughout training camp too. With excuses being made every step of the way when he did.

Both can be true, Fields did not play with great pocket presence in Chicago.

The problem is, though, that the Fucking Bears over-rated the rookie quarterback that they drafted and under-rated the guy that already had learned the fact that the NFL is faster, tougher, and harder to learn than almost any quarterback should be capable of learning particularly with the silly pre-season crap that the Bear's put on the table. Once again, I go back to the unbelievable ignorance displayed by Poles in his failure to profit from that miracle trade scenario that they passed up. Tell me that a good GM would pass up a shit load of high draft picks and players as well as a highly talented experienced 3rd year quarterback. They passed up literally a chance of being 3-0 in their division on their way to a division title.

Hawk, there was no haul trade offer. Poles was basically forced into taking Williams as kicking the can down the road on a "generational" QB after Stroud's success would have been the death knell for him.

People here have talked themselves into thinking Caleb was effective Sunday. Yessir, a garbage time drive that bumped up his passing rating to a 29th ranking for the day. Not quite as good as Skylar Thompson but better than Jacoby Brissett

Clearly the Bears biggest problem they as an organization don’t give a fuck about the offensive line and numerous management members have shared in this philosophy over the years, and here is where your shit franchise is.

That final drive was not garbage time. You think the Colts wanted to let the Bears drive down the field and bring this game to a 1 score with over 2 minutes left knowing full well their own QB could shit the bed against a really good defense?

These are two bad teams, they weren't actively giving up scores.. even if it seemed like it at times

I'd argue the inability to hire sound GM's and good Head Coaches is the plague they suffer from most. Not being able to build thru the draft is another big issue.

Lovie was the last good coach the Bears had and even he only got the Bears to the playoffs a handful of times.

#1 goal was the clock, #2 was the points. "Garbage time" was not correct. Point remains that one drive does not salvage a very poor QB-ing day as the rankings show.

Someone should tell Stefon Diggs he was a more effective QB than both Caleb Williams AND Patrick Mahomes.

Of course it didn’t erase the bad parts -but it does add to the good parts.

I look at it this way -it’s better that he did it than not. It left them a chance for a very good defense to stop a really shaky offense and give the Bears a shot.

There’s definitely some bad right now -and Caleb owns some that- but there’s progress too. He’s improved in yards, TD’s, completion%, and QB rating in his 1st three games.. and he’s shown a few flashes too like that dime to Odunze prior to the 1st pick and breaking away from a sack to create off script with a stupid throw for a 1st (to Kmet I think)..

Any one who follows Pronoun Warrior LGBTQ Time Guy deserves the disappointment that will undoubtedly fallow. Have fun with these game manager performances. Just wait until field's is down 5 in the fourth and has to throw their team back into it. Just wait. The league hasn't forgotten who they/xe/he is.

Right, the guy Bears fans should be following is Jayden Daniels, who had an impressive game last night and continues to look more poised and polished than Williams.

I hope Poles drafted the right guy. ESPN has been on the Daniels train for months.

Doja cat all over again, substitute Justin Fields 2021 for Caleb Williams 2024...maybe it's not the player but the organization.

Bears, Jets, Panthers all appear to be unable to develop a QB. Jets opted out of the develop a QB game and got an almost-gone-to-seed jerk-face veteran. Panthers swapped out their #1 overall for a never-was ginger veteran and smoked the Raiders.

Bears either should give up in-house QB development and find a veteran QB to be at minimum middle-of-the-pack competent; or bring in a Brian Griese or Bobby Slowik and give them whatever they ask for in terms of personnel and support to develop Williams to his full potential and beyond (see: Brock Purdy).

Justin Fields is finding success post-Bears in Pittsburgh.

Geno Smith, drafted by the Jets in 2013, top 10 QB for the Seahawks.

Sam Darnold, drafted by the Jets in 2018...MVP? for the Viqueens.

Panthers had Darnold on their roster as well as Baker Mayfield before both QBs moved on to some greater measure of success elsewhere. Mayfield with a stop in LA under Sean McVay. Darnold with a cup of coffee in SF with their QB development coaches.

Nah they would have scored 27 against one of the top defenses in the league but Tomlin took the knee at the one as opposed to punching it in.
Fact is Fields looked great against one of the best defenses in the league while Caleb struggled against one of the worst.

More LGBTQ Time Guy mults with insipid thought's. No serious person makes conclusions after three games in any sport. Except you two bonehead's. The real test for Young QB's is when opposing defenses have film on there tendencys and can game plan to exploit any weaknesses they find. Daniels hasn't even gone through that stage and you guy's want to crown them already. LGBTQ Time Guy couldn't have said it any dumber themselves.

I'm sorry your sexually frustrated over Field's being gone. Maybe after a hard day's work of 35 completion's for 76 yards he can come home and figure things out with you.

This was bouncing around today. Daniels looked good yesterday but it’s plausible he has early onset Mitch.

I guess we will see how that development goes? No one knows. I know this, the guy is farther along than the guy who is currently the bear's qb. We will see and one of us may be surprised.

This was bouncing around today. Daniels looked good yesterday but it’s plausible he has early onset Mitch.

His throws look really good tho.. dude has been insanely accurate to this point. Sure the offense he’s running might be basic but he’s looking great running it and no one seems to be able to stop him so far. I give him props, definitely better coaching than Calebs receiving at this point.

After watching some film breakdowns on Caleb and several other QB’s I’m falling more and more into the Bears fucked this whole thing up by sticking with and picking the wrong coaches. Which is something I’ve been worried about since they announced they were retaining Flus
