Whew they got away with one there. The only time these refs left the flag in their pocket.

Sweet Jesus. Other than penalties, there was lots of good in this game.

Nice win. Thought they’d get out coached in this one -offense had a nice recovery in the 2nd half. Caleb with a couple of nice drives didn’t try to do too much and just took what was in front of him.. Swift was clutch and the reason this offense got going. Waldron will get some flowers here too -nice play calling in the 2nd half.

Defense did their thing as always.

Good to see Caleb switch to game manager in the 2nd half with a lead and not make mistakes. It’s not a pretty win, but it’s a win and that’s all that counts.

Bears fans are more upset about this win where Williams looked like shit than last week’s loss where Williams looked like shit but had a deceptively good stat line.

by the end of this season, as the kids say , this offense is gonna be 'cooking'. Caleb looking great every week - considering it's his only 4th NFL start!

I am so pumped for this team. This year is getting everything down right, and next year is gonna be the year!

Where did he look like shit? I thought he played a pretty clean game. Took what was available and avoid risk. Yes he will need to look down field more but until this line can block it up he has to take the easy play. I am a little more concerned with the big plays allowed by the defense but they were able to make enough plays in the end.

This offense sucks, and the offensive line is far worse than it was last year.

He cannot move the ball downfield. Not just on a consistent basis, it’s not like he has mixed results…he just cannot do it. When they abandoned Williams the offense moved and they won the game. Had they done the same thing against the Colts they’d be 3-1 (there was no unfucking how bad Williams was in the Houston game).

Either Jared Verse is extremely good or the Bears left side of the line has completely fallen apart.

Who was open down field that Williams missed? Don't just say "guys were open!", give examples. I'll even spot you that Odunze was open and worth throwing to on the checkdown that granted 7+ yards, so that's 1, if he was so bad you should be able to come up with some more plays.

Allen and Moore, pretty much every play. Have you noticed that DJ Moore is completely fed up? Sitting alone, wants nothing to do with the team. Why do you think that is?

I have seen games like that one countless times by straight white Bears QB’s and fans rightfully acknowledge the team won in spite of not because of the quarterback play. Williams obviously has a different set of standards.

It was a good rookie "game manager" game. That was like half of CJ Strouds games last year.

"Pretty much every play" isn't specific. If it really was "pretty much every play" it should be even easier for you to mention specific plays, what the outcome was, and what it could/should have been if Williams saw the guys open. This is the second time you've refused to elaborate on which specific plays saw Caleb miss open guys downfield, I'm beginning to think you're just being stubbornly negative about his performance and outlook because of whatever biases you have. Maybe you're a battered Bears fan, maybe you're a Fields fanboy, I don't know, but it's becoming clear that your pre-determined narrative is heavily influencing your analysis.

Kind if odd considering how racist Bears fans are
/ were about Fields.

Then DJ Moore is a piece of shit who got paid and is more concerned with getting his rather than winning games . They were 0-4 last year at this time . He should stfu and be thankful that at least the arrow is pointing up for him to still get the ball and the team still wins despite the offense not clicking .

Ended up not mattering but just another example of eberflus logistical inadequacy was taking a timeout before the punt at the end of the last offensive possession rather than taking a delay that would have been beneficial to the punter

I wouldn’t rush to judgment on that. Punter might have not wanted the extra five yards, some of these Australians want to be closer in so they can put more hang on it.

Brisker, Gordon, Stevenson, and Dexter all appear to have taken at least one step forward.

Wright, Jones, Davis, and Jenkins all appear to have taken at least one step backward.
