Keenan Allen is gutting it out playing with plantar fasciaitis. I'm not expecting much from him until after the bye.

There’s something up with DJ Moore. He’s not happy. You can speculate over why, but it’s getting to be pretty obvious. He had these incidents in Carolina, too. I think a huge reason the Panthers made that trade was because they felt that losing Moore was addition by subtraction for locker room chemistry and by including him they could sacrifice one fewer first round pick.

Had they just taken CJ Stroud (as apparently Frank Reich wanted to do? Hard to know what to believe) it would’ve been a good move.

In any case I doubt it’s an effort thing. The guy is a workaholic, there’s a reason he is so durable despite the physical way he plays. He’s just pissed off.

He’s been kind of a bitch in almost every game. He either hates playing with Williams or has something going on in his personal life.

I think the miss of Odunze on the botched play action play was Williams being worried about protecting the football. He started to bring the ball back to try to hit Rome even after the RB miscue but the roaming linebacker scared him. He was looking that way right out of the box so I think he would have hit him had he not had to sidestep his own teammate.

The other miss to Odunze on the deep post was all on Caleb. He should have seen the safety was flat footed as Rome was running by and recognized he'd be wide open. Looked like he read that Kmet would be open and made the decision immediately. That should get shored up in film.

Other than that I don't think there were any other non-targets of receivers that were some form of open. The overthrow of DJ on the delayed go looked more like improvising on a bad play than a clever route design. But then again DJ was half assing a lot out there so maybe that was the design and he just looked like he was lazily improvising. In that case it was a poor throw but it's not like he didn't think to target him.

Let's call it 3 misses then, one of a guy who was about to be wide ass open for an easy chunk or even TD. Compared to the repeated refusal to throw to open receivers over the middle by the previous QB, these misses by a guy in his 4th NFL game are acceptable, I think.

Very acceptable.

Mahomes missed a wide open TE in the end zone on a 3rd down Sunday and the Chiefs had to settle for a field goal.

The playing nervous is cause for concern.

He's played with far worse qb his entire career. He got paid a fat contract. I think he's playing a bit injured as he has come up gimpy at points in every game.

Half-assing routes and acting like a biological female on the sidelines?

He would do it on the field when he thought Fields should have thrown him the ball. That's with Fields targeting him more than anyone else. His wife is pregnant too.

DJ is tired of losing, he’s tired of cycling thru QB after QB. He did sign a contract tho this offseason so he knew what he was getting into.

Personally I think he realizes the coaching is bad but didn’t know for sure until the season started.. they had to have an intervention with the coaches and vets after week 3.. I’m sure all this plays into it.

i think NME is probably onto it. I think he is frustrated with coaching. I don't think after what he has been through he would be frustrated with his QB yet.

This season has gone fairly predictably. None of this should be a surprise to a vet. The contract was his agreement to buy into a rookie qb development situation.

I think there a lot of very frustrated players on this team but DJ Moore is just uniquely unable/uninterested in hiding that frustration. As for why he signed that contract extension? A lot of these guys do not let the football side interfere with the contract side. He could hate playing for the Bears but still happily take the twenty million dollar signing bonus.

I not excusing a 7 year vet's effort or execution. He's supposed to be an example.

DJ Moore is perfectly aware of what Jayden Daniels is doing in DC. Or that the Bears had every opportunity to get Sam Darnold or Baker Mayfield in Chicago and more than enough draft picks and cap space to build a successful roster the way Minnesota and Tampa Bay have.

Williams: what’s wrong?

Moore: nothing

Williams: are you sure? Seems like something is bothering you.

Moore: I’m fine. Nothing’s bothering me.

Williams: ok

Of course he does. The Bears self sabotage makes me angry and I’m not even on the team.

Yes. I haven't listened in ages but anytime you have a player on there not going to give you anything juicy. Just check out Jaylon Johnson once in awhile and all you'll hear are cliches and platitude's. Just another reason the score is down in the ratings. Not for me and never has been.

They were not this bad.

He has definitely evolved into some terrible thoughts.

He was once more optimistic than me. He's done a 180 rhetorically. He's still a believer though. His heart is just a little fragile. Don't worry about him.

Shotgun at the goal line is Literally Hitler. When they do it, I yell, "Look at that, they're lined up in the Literally Hitler."

Also, Caleb needs to work on his footwork.

Look for the Lions to fade. Early bye and a brutal 13 game stretch.

I wish I could unsee their defense from last night. Geno's collar got very tight and saved them from giving up 40 themselves. Slow and couldn't tackle. Maybe it was the Any Given Sunday unis.
