Watched a few segments of “Breakfast Ball” on FS1 on Labor Day. I know it was only show #6 but a crap dynamic with Craig Carton & Mark Schlereth teaming up against Parkins. Parkins doing his thing, nothing different from the Score.

Not sure who at FS1 has a thing for a convicted felon who has failed on two other morning shows since landing there-- Carton sucks and I don’t get why Schlereth is the driver, literally he has never done that. Toxic, hope they get rid of Carton and bring in someone who knows how to moderate vs. having Schlereth try his hand. Actually a fan of Schlereth in the booth as an analyst.

I agree, as a driver of the show, you can say Schlereth "stinks"!

I watched some of it as well. Not sure why they have him driving the show. I would think Parkins would be a much better fit in doing that.

An odd dynamic. Hopefully they get the kinks worked out.

I think it’s pretty entertaining. I like Carton. Parkins seems like he’s having fun. I guess this is just a football show. No other sports talk.

They said it'll mostly be NFL and NBA, so you can look forward to Mark Schlereth leading some fascinating Bronny talk in a couple of months.

Schlereth himself didn't know this either. Bizarre decision

Haven't watched but one has to assume they have yet to talk a lick about the mlb playoffs. It will get real stale really fast as soon as football winds down when Scherleth has to talk about other sports, and all Parkins will want to talk about is NBA and totally ignore hockey, CBB, on and on. Same thing as the score different channel different day. Ill never understand why people think Parkins is some sports guru. He talks football and nba basketball. WOW

Interesting. Normally it is guys “that don’t listen” but talk about how they hate the content of today’s show. And here we have a guy doesn’t watch, but guesses about the lack of content on the show.

Great show today.

If Parkins is involved...it's bad.

that is what big sports media cares about, so he fits in well. Baseball is regional. Hockey is...also a professional sport.

Outside of maybe June/July, football never really winds down. NFL season from late July until early/mid February....NFL draft talk and free agency from mid-February though the end of April/early May. Plus, mix in college football and they are good for awhile.

NBA will get some coverage but even that is typically around the stars....MLB is so regional and the only teams that get some eyes are the Yankees, Dodgers and Red Sox. I can't imagine much conversation about Royals or most other teams.

"Baseball is a regional sport" and yet the regions happen to be the Boston-Washington corridor, California, and the Midwest, all places where lots of people live. Somehow the entire country has to hear about the University of Alabama.

I don't think most people in Chicago care about the NL West and vice versa or the other league unless you are a very dedicated fan. Most MLB fans though only care about their local teams, so regional probably should be more local.

I am convinced that they made Schlereth the driver purely for aesthetic reasons: Schlereth looks OK when shot is portrait view whereas Parkins' face has a frontal porcine quality that isn't obvious when he is shot in profile. He is an extreme two face.

Thankfully, however, not a Hawg.

I watched this show for the first time today. When I initially tuned in there was about 3 minutes of content followed by what seemed like 8-10 minutes of commercials, but I could have tuned in at the tail end of what had been a longer segment as it seemed more evenly balanced after that. The show is fine for what it is and largely what you would expect but perhaps less cheesy and douchey than Get Up, and any show that doesn't include the yammering twit that is Mike Greenberg automatically has an advantage.

I don't know if the phrase "Face for Radio" has ever suited anyone better than Parkins.

I've been a regular listener for the past couple weeks on Sirius on drive into work. Enjoy it better than score,
but have to admit, the whole Carten "Here's the deal" explanations on things is getting very annoying. Also,
almost every time I've tuned in the past 2 weeks, it's been the equivalent of Jets postgame show. First Salah fired,
then the Adams trade, I don't get the fascination with the Jets, and it's very annoying. Parkins doing his best to steer
talk away from Jets, but it always winds up back to how any situation affects the Jets, and their playoff chances.

You guys constantly put down Parkin's looks. Jeez. I'll defend him. I can do that as a straight white male. No, he's not a Tom Cruise or Brad Pitt (I guess that dates me as an old guy, cuz they are old now, but they were the standard for good looks for years), but I don't think he's as ugly as you guys say.

He's an OK looking guy. Gotta a decently pretty blond to marry him. I guess saying this makes me gay. But I just wanted to defend him. Sorry.

Just saying the cracker doesn't look that bad as far as crackers go. I don't know what the hell all of you look like. Nor do I ever want to. Bunch of male models from the way you talk about him. But I doubt that.

It seems he did manage to update his wardrobe, i.e. traded his hoodies for a couple sportcoats. Of the three hosts, he may be the best dressed.
