I said it in week 1 watching Caleb.

By mid season, this offense is going to be cooking! They will be lethal and resemble a real NFL offense in 2024!

--

So I don't understand why so many have it out against Caleb? If you call yourself a Bears fan you want this kid to succeed. This is his 5th NFL start and he's looked better than 90 percent of all the Bears QB's I've seen in my lifetime.

Don't understand the hate. We finally got a real fucking quarterback and all you meatheads are wanting him to fail?

Not sure there is much more to gain here. Might be about time for Bagent. Would hate to see any kind of injury behind this line.

DJ Moore too wide open on that pass. Started thinking about adding my +13000 DJ Moore 3+ TD prop on top of the 1+ and 2+.

How do you get that open in the NFL anyhow? Oh, yeah, play the Panthers.

so nice to see a bears offense that can put the ball in the endzone.

too many years we get fg after fg after fg to keep the other team in the game and then throw a late pick to lose the game.

Looked like Pryor threw a punch. That won’t be good for him.

ah, that's why DJ Johnson blind-sided Pryor. wondered what that was about, clear on the replay that DJ went after Pryor for the punch.

I though Carolina was gonna bring in Bryce for garbage time. Oops, they just did. Bryce looks like a slightly taller Caleb. Might be skinnier frame vs Williams

This is why garbage-time is garbage-time, even the worst QB in the league can look good at against a top 3 defense during garbage-time.

why? The game is over. They get to practice one of their 2 pt plays for the future. Kicking an extra point there was meaningless

nimble lil guy, if he were 3 or 4 inches taller and played/ran around like that, he might've been able to stick. I don't think you can run a successful NFL offense premised on the QB rolling out on every play b/c he can't see over the o-line.

Well, for one thing it looks like running up the score.. for another you risk injuring key guys on a pointless exercise you can practice all you want during the week.

Games over, just take the point and move on

THere is no such thing as running up the score in PRO football.

Injury point is fair.

Running play in practice is not the same as running it live in a game.

You also risk putting something on film that could screw you when you really need to go for 2.. it’s just dumb to do it when youre up by so much so late in a game.

And yes, in Pro Football there is such thing as running up the score. Not sure where you’re getting that there isn’t. Most teams won’t do it (run up the score)

Nah running the score up is a concept that comes from kids playing a game. This is pro sports. These are grown men making millions of dollars. If you dont like a team scoring then stop them.

Hey, we found a guy as paranoic as Bill Belichick.

No one says you have to run your favorite 2 pter. Hell, run that shotgun play they totally fucked up against Indy.

I think it's more disrespectful to Laurence Holmes it and say we could've stomped you by more, but this is us giving you a gift and not scoring more points because you're incapable of stopping us. That's treating the other team as a charity-case. Just play football and if they don't like it they can D-up and keep you from scoring.

No, it isn’t just a pop Warner concept. There’s a reason why Billy B took flack for doing it and why teams will take a knee at the end of games rather than kicking FG’s or running it at the goal line when up by a bunch.

But none of that is the main reason I think it’s dumb. It’s dumb because you risk injury to key players, and it’s dumb because you risk putting your calls for that situation on film. It’s dumb for legit football reasons.

There is a difference between kneeling at the end of a game and running a 2pt conversion with like 4 mins to go in a game.

But either way it isnt something to argue about.

I don't think Dalton's an answer. If you're done with Bryce, package him up with a pick or two and trade him to the Steelers for Russell Wilson Athletic Gear or the Browns for Jameis or Sam Howell from the Seahawk or Mitch (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky off the Bills. if you wanna aim high, Matt Stafford might be available if the Rams lose to GB today and fall to 1-4.
