Yup. Like Caleb from the Bible, show grace or whatever he did.

I doubt Jesus or any of the disciples would have been as accurate launching the loaves downfield like Caleb.

Throwing the ball two feet so Swift can run it fifty yards. What a joke, the one throw to Moore was pretty but nothing Williams does is special. He’s completely unremarkable except for his evasiveness, which btw isn’t going to work against better teams.

Jesus can propel a loaf of bread forward with his arm unlike Justin Fields who could not propel a loaf of bread forward with his arm.

That bit's a hit.

Didn't Justin Fields play a last place schedule, too? Just Asking A Question.

He had the highest quarterback rating for a Bears rookie quarterback since the merger.

I see him getting comfortable in the pocket, but the alarm in his head goes off too soon sometimes.

Bumslaying is an important step. It shouldn't be glossed over.

Scheming guys open, having the time for the QB to throw, and the QB both recognizing the open guy and hitting his target is a great development. Also, the point of having a decent tight end and three solid wide receivers is that it is tough for any defense to cover all them adequately. So I feel pretty good about that yesterday.

I like that he's been willing to run for the free yards and he's handling the blitz better.

Yep. It is.

If Fields and Mitch could have bumslayed when they first started they may have actually lasted as a QB1 in this league.

He has the escapability skill that Mayfield took 6 years to learn. That checks a box.
His 6 ft frame isn't a factor. That checks a box.
He slayed two bums. Three more to go until week 10. That will check a box.

I'm not looking past the Jags, but the Washington game will have a lot of media hype.

I would like to see the escapability turn into some busted coverages and wide-open guys down field like it always seems to for guys like Mahomes , Rodgers in his heyday, etc. Or any quarterback that plays against the Bears that escapes the pocket lol

It appears every Bears receiver runs to the end zone whenever he scrambles. It would be nice to see some guys cut across the field or come back to him occasionally.

Is it even possible to bumslay when you're the bum?

A real team will absolutely paste him for shit he has gotten away with these last two weeks. He might catch a bad Jaguars team in an international game, but his career high water mark is coming. Against quality opponents he is going to fold, and then all the ugly stuff about his personality will percolate up. He has zero ability to handle adversity.
