Are you just actively rooting against the Bears at this point because you want to be right about Justin Fields?

My neighbor, because of his continued love of Jay Cutler, similarly roots against the Bears and every quarterback since.

4+ years of the same shit from fields. admirable that your are going down with the ship. justin was an exciting qb at times and i have no ill will towards him, but i'm glad we lucked into caleb and think caleb is improving week over week

He's just new to football. He only started posting about it late last year. That's why he thinks "An NFL team had injuries to starters in week 5" is an interesting point. It's the NFL. Every team has players missing every game starting in like week 3 because it's a brutal sport.

Not me. I believe it is okay to be right about Fields and still want the Bear's to be successful with their qb.

Unlike the likes of you and guys like you and Scribble Bob, my Bears Fandom doesn't have to validated by yelling at a dopey message board. I was watching the Bears decades before Scribble Bob ever bitched about his first DEI hire. Or you either. I watched the team as far as Neil "the Non Astronaut" Armstrong. And Bob Avellini.
With this being the case my allegiance is to the Bears and not Fields. I want to see the Bears win first and foremost. With this being the case there is no doubt that Fields gave them the best opportunity to do just that.

I'm not going to get lathered up by anyone playing well against a crappy team with a ton of injuries.

I'm not going to get enthusiastic about him Slaying a bum ass team. And at no point in JFields tenure here did he possess the sort of weapons that Caleb has this year.
I'm more than willing to see how this plays out but we won't know what we have until they play against better teams. Which will begin in about 2-3 weeks

Bears wins have come against teams with a combined 3-11 record. Nuff said

He's such a big Bears fan he went to Houston to follow the Bears but didn't watch the Bears play Houston.

Brick McCarver has a better handle on my out of town itinerary than I happen to have. First Little Rock and now Houston..Do you know the brunch spot that I happened to reserve on the day of the game McCarver? Just Asking A Question

We were at that point before the draft for the Fields Cult. Outside of entertainment purposes, there's no reason to engage LTG on the topic. I doubt he's watched any of the games.

I was actually providing excellent commentary on Sunday's game against the Colts.

I missed it. How were you able to watch the Steelers game simultaneously? PIP?

Streaming and switching the channels around. Only Bears game that I haven't seen thus far was the Houston game because I was out in the world down in Houston while the game was going on.

It still doesn't dismiss the fact that you were still paying "close attention" McCarver

LTG, aside from your impressive stamina to fight the good fight, I find your nicknames for people to be quite amusing. Would you mind (or I can) creating a thread where you would compile the nicknames of various posters? No matter what you write or whether I agree or care, I always find those names entertaining. Keep em coming, kindly Humblebrag.

And now the CFMB gurus are pissed that us "True" "Lifelong" Bears fans are too savvy to fall for a bumslaying performance against a team missing 4-5 starters. Unbelievable!

No problem Denis. Ol Brick McCarver is known to provide this board with such nuggets as "If Caleb Williams Sucks In 3 seasons he'll be shitcanned".

I only had to point that out because you don't understand why Fields was moved on from in Chicago. My dumb statement came from your even dumber statement. That's why I love that you keep bringing it up. You don't think the Bears should have moved on from Fields and Williams is going to absolutely obliterate the stats that Fields put up in Chicago over the first three years.

In fact, please create a thread about Caleb Williams first three seasons in Chicago because I desperately want an excuse to post Fields stats in his first 5 starts vs. Williams stats in his first 5 starts.

Hey McCarver why provide analysis when you can get such 'insight" as that.

It should be noted that Brick McCarver happens to continuously disagree with me about Caleb Williams without ever really saying anything which is actually disagreeable. Unless you count how often he plays the "But Justin" game as he is doing now.

I have asked you time and time again if Williams will outperform Fields in Chicago. I've already pointed out that Williams for the past 2 games has been better than Fields in ANY game with the Steelers, and almost all games Fields has ever played, and Williams hasn't even played to his potential in those games. Now, you are just going to be The Doctor Of Denial acting like Williams is just beating bums when Fields would struggle with those same bums pretty much his whole time in Chicago which is why Fields was 10-28 in Chicago.

You're sure that he will "outperform" what Fields did here bit not sure that he will outperform him in Pittsburgh. Does that make any sense .McCarver? I dare say not.

You're also the guy that claimed "fairly quickly" meant over a year from now. Does that make much sense?

You may not know this McCarver because you know very little about Football, but Fiekds has played a tougher schedule has much worse talent on offense than Caleb, yet still has put up better numbers than him and currently has the same record. Ponder that for a second

You're sure that he will "outperform" what Fields did here bit not sure that he will outperform him in Pittsburgh. Does that make any sense .McCarver? I dare say not.
As soon as you answer if Williams will outperform Fields as a Bear I will be happy to discuss what Williams will do in Chicago vs. what Fields will do with the Steelers. Stop being so afraid.

You're also the guy that claimed "fairly quickly" meant over a year from now. Does that make much sense?
I'm not ready to call it yet, but Williams in the past two games has outperformed any of Fields games with the Steelers. By the end of this year it's going to be obvious to everyone that Williams is a better qb than Fields. The only reason it is close this year is because Fields is in year 4 and Williams is in year 1.

Let's see if you have an actual spine McCarver. Since you continuously want to make this a "sane stage" debate how about "we" make it a "same age" debate.

I say that Justin Fields will have better numbers (rushing/receiving yardage and TDs combined at the Same AGE (23) as Caleb happens to be this season. In short I have Fields 2nd year stats to be better than Caleb's rookie numbers. What say you?

After 15 games since that is Field's number of games played that season

We can come up with 5-7-9 metrics and whomever wins the most out of that 5-7-9 wins the bet. Deal?
