So you don’t want to talk about how much NFL experience each guy had before they had good games and add up all your endless excuses?

Not shocking.
Justin Field head Comet last year right? He had DJ Moore right? He had a better running game right? The Bears had Keenan Allen, whom Darnell Mooney is having a better year than this year so apparently Mooney can play football he needs a quarterback to throw the ball to him.

The mere fact that the Bears drastically upgraded the supporting cast prior to this season is all of the validation that I needed

And the fact that you will not post the collective rosters at gun point either
the Bears had DJ Moore last year right? How about Cole Kmet? they had a better running game last year than they do this year right? added Keenan Allen, whom Darnell Mooney is having a far better year than this year but then again Darnell Mooney actually has an NFL quarterback throw passes to him unlike last year.

This is just flatly wrong. The Bears have uncorked some big plays on the ground but they still do not move the ball vertically through the air at all. The one deep(ish) throw the Bears have attempted ended in a turnover.

This is why I think they are in for a massive correction. To see unironic Pat Mahomes comps    Mahomes would be ripping bombs against Jacksonville left and right.

This is another cream-puff team in the Bears' cream-puff schedule.

We haven't even played a NFC North team yet.

Nope

Playoff talk is ridiculous. Beat Washington and then you can. Bears record is exactly what we expected after 6 games with this schedule. At this point, I would still call it a 9-8 team. Especially with the surprising Vikings.

The fact that they entered the game 2 point dogs to this team is all anyone needs to know about what the expectations are for them.

I saw your 1st white flag, no need for you to throw another one up

You were just yelling that you expected Caleb to suck because he was a rookie just last week. After posting preseason expectations numbers which would have made him an All Pro. WYC?

The last three point spreads were ridiculous. Out of town stupid, IMO. Happy about it though, cashed all three.

Good game. Win with things to improve upon is the ideal outcome for a rookie QB.

I stupidly tried to rely on his call via YouTubeTV while I was driving up from Kentucky because I thought I was out of range of WMVP, and I couldn't tell what the fuck was happening thr first two drives. Just endless variations of:

"Lawrence, in the gun...[sound of game action]...aaaaaannnnd...[crowd roar]...that'll be 7, no 8, yards."

To be fair though when I switched to MVP, it sounds like even Joniak has lost a step in describing the action in real time. At least I still had an idea.

BEARS!!! We should be 6-0

I believe Caleb is 1 touchdown away from tying the Bears rookie quarterback record.

Bumslayers. The second half of the schedule will pimp slap them harder than Tim Hardaway slaps gay men's cheeks.

You’re forgetting he doesn’t get credit for actual performance depending on the opponent, while other QBs get credit for hypothetical stats that never actually happened but maybe could have.

Rashan Gary is good for 5 sacks this year against the Chipmunks. Good enough to chip each painted fingernail on Cuckleb's right hand.

Williams couldn't win today.
Bears lose: Doctor Demento says Wliams sucks, couldn't beat a terrible team!
Bears win: Doctor Demento says they were just playing a terrible team.

This season
Williams plays well; Doctor demento says they improved the team around him, doesn't count!
Williams plays poorly: Doctor Demento says we didn't excuse the terrible o line last year, Williams sucks

As if the vast majority of rookies don’t shit the bed even against bad defenses and teams, but I guess the bar is pretty high for a guy making his sixth NFL start

Stop yourself.

I said that he'd have some ups and downs and that there would be some good and bad because he's a rookie and he's learning. Thats far from saying 'I expect him to suck'.

I get that you're kind of a drama queen when you're put in a corner, but this is bordering on straight up lying about what I've said -and its definitely you attempting to quote me without any context.

Quote:
After posting preseason expectations numbers..

Ok Doc, lets look at exactly what I said and predicted numbers wise..

NME wrote:
4000 passing yards

32 passing TD’s

14 INT’s

64% completion pct

500 rushing yards

5 rushing TD’s

I’m going under on all these aside from completion % which I think will be around 65% or so.

For the big numbers (yards-TD’s) I say he hits 3600 yds/28 TD’s with about 12 INT’s.. very good rookie #’s imo

And so far after 6 games? He's on pace for..

3700 passing yards (100 yards better than I predicted)
25 TD's (3 less than I predicted)
14 INT's (2 more than I predicted)
65% completion.. and he's right on the money currently at 65 so..

Now I believe I based this off of around 15 games or so.. so I'll toss you a life line here if you want to nit pick (you will, so go ahead).. but my numbers so far have been pretty much on the money.

Quote:
...numbers which would have made him an All Pro.

lmao

Oh, and tell us you haven't watched the NFL since the 90's without telling us you haven't watched the NFL since the 90's.. my numbers do not put Caleb anywhere near 'All Pro'

Using 2023 (for example)

3600 passing yards would have put him around 16th in the league.. 12 INT's would have put him around 7th worst amongst starters.. 65% completion pct. would have him around 13th.. and 28 TD's would have been good enough for a tie at 7th (his only stat I have that'd put him in the top 10)

So no, Doc, I did not predict 'All Pro' numbers for Caleb this season. Not even close.

Somewhere I predicted he would top every career high Fields had with the Bears, outside of rushing yards. I feel good about that prediction, but we still have 12 games to play.

The interviewer on the NFL network pregame not only asked about his nails but painted his own.

Appreciate anyone who gave us Thong Song but Jacksonville was sucking before they gave up the ghost after the Jax offense fumbled and Bears short-field ran the score to 21-3. Bears offense wasn't able to take full-advantage until the Jacksonville defense threw in the towel early in the 2nd half. But in terms of quality of play by J-ville? Minimal diff btw the halves. Both beyond bad, esp the penalties to keep Bears drives alive.

Yep. At least one of the TDs was gift wrapped to the Bears by Jacksonville penalties

imagine having to go through that effort yesterday and then hang around for another week in London to play again. That has to be awful.
