Johnathon Allen out for the year. They still have a strong DL but he was probably their best one. Illini great Jer zhan Newton should get a lot of PT.

Bears win this one and "some" people "we" know will be asking questions why.

31-21.

Jesus Christ. Let's wait until next week with this. It's going to be an interminable wait as it is. I mean, it isn't going to be a Super Bowl type wait, but it's close. We're all going to be very itchy by a week from tomorrow.

look ahead lines have Bears -2 to -2.5, -130 Bears ML to +110 for Washington. O/U 44.5 -- sounds about right.

Probably the Bears line will move toward Commanders after Daniels runs all over the Panthers on Sunday.

Commanders -7.5 against Carolina is the largest line of Week 7. Strangely Browns +5.5 vs Bengals. Bengals seem to play to their level of competition + Browns have won last 5 home matchups vs Bengals and 7 of last 10 games overall.

1-4 Rams giving -6.5 to 2-4 Raiders? Rams coming off a bye + might be getting Cooper Kupp back this week. I think Puka Nacua is Week 8 at the earliest. Still, Rams shouldn't be spotting a TD to anybody.

Could be rebellion going on in Cleveland over the team continuing to play Watson over Winston. There's always drama in Raider nation.

I need to know the health of the Bears defense. A strong secondary is now average.

Commanders defense is a weakness.. Bears offense needs to stick with what’s been working. Keep the running game going, Caleb needs to continue taking what the defense gives then open it up as the game goes on.

Bears defense (if healthy) should be a much different animal than anything Jayden has faced so far.. they’re top-10 in almost every category, can take away the ball, and have an elite secondary. The fact that the Commanders run a very basic easy read offense geared towards getting their QB comfortable early should be something Flus can easily game plan for but we’ll see. Daniels ability to run with the ball can add a wrinkle to what the Bears want to do.. they’ll most likely need to spy heavy in this game so maybe they use an extra DB for that.

Honestly this is a game the Bears should win but I really like the coaching atm in Washington and Daniels is running that offense well.. this game will be close imo even tho the disparity between the two defenses says it really shouldn’t be. The Bears are vulnerable in the one place Washington’s defense has some talent (O-line Vs D-line) and I think that keeps Washington in this along with solid coaching and playmaking from Daniels.

This game is a toss up

I'm interested in seeing how the Bears defense holds up against some of the better offenses.

Are Gordon and Brisker playing? They obviously make a huge difference for the defense.

It sounds like Brisker will be "fine." I don't know if Gordon's hamstring is fine after 2 weeks. You probably want to be conservative with that.

I don't think any of the major injuries for either side plays.

Allen being out is, quietly, a pretty big loss for them, as well.

Bears will win this handily, 31-14

Bears win easily if Daniels is out.

Maybe it’s because the Bears are the local team, but it feels like they are the beneficiary of the opposing QB being unavailable more than any other team.

I'm not sure who remains on the offensive line, but Sweat should have a lot of knowledge about their weaknesses. He should also have knowledge about the defenders that remain.

There was a lot of that to end last season. As TEA said, I would be fine with that continuing through a Super Bowl victory.

you look at mariota's numbers and they are much better than what public opinion is of him. He could be a low end starter. But the Bears will bury him

Trib pointed out today, in his third season, Eberflus has only won three road games, two against .500 teams and one with a losing record.

Granted, this is a different Bears team.

Even last week wasn’t a true road game since their opponent didn’t have home field advantage either. Impossible to make any predictions until more is known about Daniels’ status.

Gamblers say he isn't playing. They're pretty good at stuff like that.

Does seem like a different team, though I think the combined record of the teams the Bears have beaten thus far is 6-20 or thereabouts.

Fields seemed to have a knack for making big mistakes late in close road games. Hopefully Williams won't suffer from the same affliction.

You interpret the coachspeak and he isn't playing and probably is going to miss more than one game.

The NFL has little mercy on the young running QB's, they tend to burn bright and fizz out after they take a few dozen big hits. The smart one's realize you just scramble enough to move the chains and learn to make business decisions when running the ball. Richardson is a huge kid, has about 30 pounds on Daniels, but he misses tons of games with injuries.

Tons of injuries on both side of the line for Washington, starting LG, LT, and C all are questionable, if Daniels does play he is gonna take a beating.

Circa put out Bears -2 Sunday night. Other books had -1 and those lines were the indication Daniels is not expected to play. Maybe he still will play but that is not the expectation.
These books are very well- sourced as far as NFL information goes. There are large betting groups on both sides of this game.

The Redskins shouldn't risk Daniels if they want to make the play-offs. The Bear's forte is hard hitting tackling no matter what point in the game or who may be winning. Daniels is a talent but as I've said before, he is pretty thin and is at risk when he is pressured and hit.

If the season ended today, every team in the NFC North would make the playoffs.

Velus is gone! Hopefully they don't sign him to the practice squad if he clears waivers.

Blasingame is gone too, but he didn't have a role any more.
