Football gods were not going to let the Bears win this shit on some flag. A week of people saying “Caleb was great” is going to be hilarious to watch.

Bears picked the wrong guy. This is Mahomes v 2.0.

They deserved to lose this game, so I'm not really sick about the hailmary. It was nice to see Caleb make a 4th quarter appearance.

Romo is good on the call

I thought we didn't count Hail Mary plays in our discussion on Williams.

This loss is directly in the lap of Matt Eberflus

Yep. Even with those 12 yards, and a chamce to get everything he had into the throw, the hail mary came down around the 2.

First time we’ve seen competent 4Q come-from-behind QB play…maybe ever? Idk. Can’t recall another QB leading comebacks from down two scores in the 4th.

Of course that happened because he sucked balls all game, but still. Nuts up in crunch time.

There are practice squad QB’s who would’ve played well enough for the Bears to win this game with or without the prayer by Daniels.

I don't know if Williams and Daniels swapped teams if Williams would be any different/better on the C-Words.

Other than when playing Carolinas and Jacksonvilles, who play defense like a practice squad pro-bowl touch football game, Williams success comes outside any sort of offensive structure; which while exciting and helpful late in games and in desperate late down situations trying to make something happen, maybe not a recipe for an uber successful NFL QB.

Plus he's not throwing interceptions, which is concerning. Right?

4th quarter comebacks are among the most overrated attributes of a QB. Rodgers used to get pilloried for a lack of them early in his career. Of course his teams were almost always ahead (and McCarthy went to his frustrating run out the clock offense), but that is less important than leading a comeback.

The Kramer handoff was idiotic when your offense has sucked. I'm not blaming the defense, even though there was a laspe on the hailmary.

Bears celebrated too soon instead of bearing down for another 25 seconds.

You can't let up and misexecute in that situation. They let their guard down and were complacent.

How many passes went sailing over Moore and Allen and Odunze's heads today? Williams too quick to throw it away out of bounds. Yes, he'd have more interceptions if he trusted his receivers more and instead of throwing it into the bench he gave em a chance at making a catch. But he'd also have more completions, yards and touchdowns. Interceptions are a sign a QB is trying vs going 4 for 16 with zero interceptions with a half-dozen passes thrown out of bounds.

Exactly. Needs to throw more interceptions. Then we know he is good. Otherwise, draft Miller Moss.
