To be fair my source is Dr. Dan Bernstein, because I vaguely remember a caller during the Cutler Years talking about either Jay being spotted at a bar the night before a game, or drunk somewhere after a game, and Dan dismissed it because he said Cutler can't drink because of the diabeetus.
EDIT: Come to think of it I may be conflating callers complaining about Jay's diabetes and low blood sugar as a reason for why he sucked with Dan being very disappointed that Josh Hamilton appeared on Facebook or some early social media holding a beer.
Dan is the epitome of being wrong, but coming strong, his medical takes are laughably stupid to anyone that actually works in the field.
He must not know any podiatrists, they would tell him that you can build a very successful practice just treating diabetics, diabetics can eat or drink anything as long as they manage glucose levels.
Dan gets quite angry when people point out that he really knows very little about anything, he would likely quickly retreat to his safe space if a caller exposed him, in fact they screen those callers these days, so nobody ever does.
