I don't care. I just want a Bears victory.

I’d be fine if every starting QB they play missed the game all the way to a SB.

It's an absolutely huge game and they need it. 10-7 gets you in. 7-2 is almost a must to get to 10 wins.

Win one of the next three plus a 4-3 winning record against the division and splitting the games against the Niners and Seahawks gets you to ten wins. So it’s not even close to a must-win game in terms of the standings.

But it is important for the Bears to show they can win against a home opponent and the first really decent team they’ve played since week two. If the Bears get pasted by the Redskins but then beat the Cardinals and Patriots it will still be pretty hard to have much faith that they’ll run that monster gauntlet through the division and the tough NFC West teams.

And I’m fully aware how difficult it is going to be for them to have a winning record against the rest of the North.

This was a very important game as a measuring stick for the Bear's legitimacy as a potentially a play-off team. Obviously, if Jayden can't play or is diminished physically, this game becomes a MUST WIN contest for the Bears. Play-off wise the Lions win over the Vikings was a good thing for the Bear's play-off hopes and they need to win the Redskins game.

Picture yourself as a Redskins fan and ask yourself if this is even a contest. Picture yourself as a fan of a team other than the Bears, is there any scenario you’d prefer Williams? This isn’t close. The Bears picked the wrong guy. Daniels was injured, playing a vastly better defense and he looked every bit the superior player.

tough to compare players when one is running for his life all game and the other has time to sip an umbrella drink in the pocket before making a decision.

Nah, it’s not difficult at all to say who is the better player actually. Pretty much anyone could easily make that distinction yesterday.

I wonder if we’ll get another poop & swoop maneuver from FavreFan or if he’ll just pretend he never said its “obvious” who is going to better of the two.

Daniel's played better than Williams but one game isn't their future. I still think that Daniel's isn't going to last very long in the NFL. He is talented but very small and skinny. I also think that Williams has some issues but are pretty fixable. He needs better coaching which is an important theme for this organization.

I didn't think Daniels played well yesterday. He has the injury as an excuse. Caleb has no excuses for yesterday. I still think Caleb will be better, but I was probably wrong with my assessment of Daniels. He's remained upright for the most part and he hasn't had the deer in the headlights look very often.

Williams will end up the better passer. If Daniels can run like this for a career he'll be a better QB.

Maybe if the Bears just play Carolina every week for the next ten years but otherwise Daniels is light years ahead of him. You don’t even have to put the “barring injury” part in, Caleb is headed straight for the bust heap no matter happens with Daniels.

It's pretty obvious Caleb is the QB you should still take between the two. I'm not surprised you'd prefer Daniels though.

As a passer he isn't light years ahead. I'm not sure Daniels is even ahead as a passer. He wasn't great until the Hail Mary and remember those don't count.

Caleb Williams is physically and mentally incapable of throwing the ball more than about fifteen or so yards downfield.

It’s really no surprise at all you have fallen for this whole Pat Mahomes LARPathon hook, line and sinker. Williams is all gloss, no substance. A classic case of doing a bunch of meaningless stuff really well while being like 5th round pick tier at everything that matters.

If you can’t dazzle em with brilliance, baffle em with bullshit. All this arm angle, velocity changing, “he’s a quarterback NERD” is just bullshit. Talk talk talk but when he comes time to face somebody other than a sleepwalking Jax team or Carolina he melts.

He makes a lot of the hard cant teach stuff look easy. Those are the traits you want to look for. You can coach the easy stuff. His ability to avoid sacks and throw accurately on the run, even across the field, is far superior to Daniels. Daniels is doing better with the easy button stuff right now but that's not really impressive. The biggest argument you can make against Caleb is he's with one of the most incompetent franchises in the league so pessimism that they will ever give him better than a bottom tier coaching staff is justified.

Yeah he’s so focused on doing all the things that separate the great from the good that he forgot to do all the stuff to just be good in the first place.

The Bears have a great defense and so far a surprisingly effective run game. With the receivers they have you just need somebody decent to play quarterback for this team to be dangerous. @HOU should’ve been a win, @IND should’ve been a win, @WAS should’ve been a win…instead they are all losses because we have to endure another bust quarterback’s “growing pains”. A lost season for no reason, the Bears can compete with the Lions and Packers if they just had somebody like a Jared Goff throwing the ball.

But noooo that’s not sexy enough. We need the DEI jackpot diversity hire who comes as first overall and does has all the meme arm angles and bullshit.

You're missing the coaching part. The Lions and Packers are worlds better than the Bears there. Until that is fixed, no the Bears cannot compete with the Lions and Packers regardless of who their QB is.

I am confident that with decent quarterback play, which to be fair they are unlikely to get from Williams against any defense better than Carolina’s (and especially on the road), the Bears could give the Lions and Packers a run for their money. The defense is good enough that they still might, at least at Soldier Field.

Detroit’s a damn good team, Green Bay is at least a good team. Neither are like 2014 Seattle or something, the Bears can at least compete with him despite Uberloss. Will they? Probably not, the quarterback situation is so dismal for the Bears it will sabotage their good special teams, run game and defense the exact way it did against the Redskins.

Caleb's inability to be accurate from anywhere beyond 10 yards should be of concern for each and every Bears fan.

I get that Caleb Williams is pretty much pure shit and that certain elements of this Bears team are very overrated (they lack a true matchup nightmare at WR despite a nice front three and their pass rush is average and maybe even slightly below) but its kinda silly to say a three loss team cannot compete against a two loss team. Sure, the Bears shouldn’t be favored against any of the other NFC North teams even at home but I’d say they aren’t completely doomed.
