WHAT? are TDs bad now? imagine they score two TDs instead of one in the 4th. Hail Mary doesn't even matter.

I don't know if I should ask you to read my post or explain it in more detail.

I understand what it says, the fridge call prevented them from scoring 2 TDs in the 4th, which would have won them the game outright, no hail mary to worry about. Fumbling at the opponents 1 yard line did not "almost help them win it" . I don't understand how people have gotten to this level of overthinking. Washington was going to try to win the game, the Bears fumbling helped them do that, it didn't help the Bears whatsoever.

This post tells me that you don't understand it, though. That's fine. I’ve spent too much time on this game.

We’re on to Arizona.

not really, do you understand that you're saying that fumbling at the goal line helped them in a game they lost by 3 points?

I just want to picture Caleb Williams trying to drive the full length of the field without the running game to bail him out and the clock a factor. He might have to put the ball more than ten yards in the air! Oh well, maybe year two we’ll see him make throws high school quarterbacks make (but omg have you heard about him changing velocity and arm angles on his dump off gimme throws????)

Every time you watch that play it gets worse.

The spy was another donkey brain Eberflus moment.

But we’re on to Arizona. Surely they can’t lose that game in comical fashion.

First drive that resulted in the Fridge fumble: 9 plays 84 yards

Take your medicine dipshit.

Somebody IS that retarded! Turns out its you, shocker.

I know you have no one in your life, but ask around anyway and see if anyone else agrees that Caleb Williams is Craig Krenzel.

I’m sure there are plenty of people who already see the bust writing on the wall but in 2024 a black, gender bender finger painting quarterback will have to be this bad for at least an entire season before any public figure can start calling em like they see em. I listened to WSCR this AM, it is almost comical the excuses they are making for him and how much dancing they do around the subject.

that and as much as Stevenson is taking all the heat, I think Hicks -22 and Byard -31 are most likely the real culprits here.

Hicks and Byard look like their job is to be the last men back and cover the end zone until the ball is thrown and then they both converge on the ball. Can't be the plan.

ETA: Eberflus put it all on Stevenson just now. Do I believe him? not 100%, Eberflus is a weasel

I'm not sure what to make of this. Is it a one-time thing or something more systemic? Imagine getting getting lazy after fattening up on Carolina and Jacksonville.

I am guessing Stevenson is not a very good practice player

I may be looking into it, but that is one of our best players laying the groundwork for a coaching change.

Well this is just starting to feel like a good old fashioned Bears season collapse. They narrowly avoided the spiral last year and everyone got a mulligan because people got caught up in the euphoria of the Carolina trade windfall.

Good for Kmet, Eberflus has done absolutely nothing in his 2.5 years to get a single inch of leeway.

I’ve been saying it since the losing streak last year, and repeated it in the prediction thread prior to the season -coaching is the biggest problem with this team. We have a glorified coordinator running the show.

They should have made their move on this after last season ended and reset everything with a new HC and rookie QB together.. and it should have been Jim Harbaugh

I had a similar initial reaction, but Kmet went on to say that this lax attitude had nothing to do with the coaching staff and needs to be addressed by the players themselves.

I disagree. The players do not run the team, that’s what the coaches are supposed to do. If players are noticing guys being lazy or bad in practice then the coaches damn sure are in position to see it and do something about it.

Kmet is covering his ass saying that the ‘players need to address it’. Bullshit. Not one good/great coach or team would let this stuff slide.

Players run every team. This is true at every level, except grade school. It's definitely true in the NFL. The Patriot Way was the Brady Way, and that carried over to Tampa. The player leaders set the tone. As someone who consumes an unhealthy amount of Bears content, I know the team doesn't have a leadership deficit because they have quality player leadership and the culture definitely isn't shit.

Kmet is becoming more comfortable with his voice. I think that's due to an assist by Mercedes Lewis, and seniority.

this one got lost in all of the end of game problems but that Sweat run down of Daniels was probably the most impressive athletic play of the day. 262 pounds outrunning one of the fastest QB in the league. You could tell Daniels hadn't experienced something like that in the past.

Could be worse, Colts fans half-way through season two of the Anthony Richardson Experience:

"Too soon for literally anything but guesses"

"AR needs a lot of reps and experience, but nothing is certain. I think he's shown flashes of things very few QBs can do "

"The kids is going to be a stud."

"As a pocket passer he has accuracy issues and has not made the "layups". Maybe can be corrected-yet to be seen. He is also slow to react to open WR's. He is still young and inexperienced"

"is is such a bad take that I can't even go on. Let the guy play at least 25 games."

"AR has played good more than bad. Did you guys see the Rams game last year, when he destroyed the Texans and Stroud early, the 1st drive of last week's game. He also beat the Titans"

"His issues are accuracy which can be corrected by a good QB coach and decision making and that comes from experience along with coaching and hard work"

"He’s a great athlete. He can throw the long bomb and run like the wind BUT……He’s inaccurate "

"Athletically he’s sooo talented but he’s also so raw. The thing that concerns me and I could be totally wrong here but I am starting to question his toughness and durability"

"feel like he needs to sit and learn some more "

"The inaccuracy concerns me. But he was raw coming out. So I am hopeful."

"AR has ability beyond anything the league has really seen before. Still, QBs fail way more than they succeed. AR is super raw and unpolished so needs a lot of playing time to see if he will develop. Unfortunately that takes time to figure out."

"I still think he has elite ceiling but unsure if colts organization will give him his needed support to evolve to elite status. "

This is nonsense. Tyrique Stevenson (who might be who Kmet is talking about) doesn’t run the fucking team and damn sure doesn’t have say over who plays or gets benched. Coaches control that. Very few players have the power you’re taking about in the NFL -this isn’t the NBA dude, there are huge differences between these sports when it comes to this area.

In the NFL, owners, GM’s, and coaches carry the water in the area I’m talking about.

You claimed players run every team. That’s a dumb take. We’re talking about a player commenting on some guys not being ‘practice’ guys. That’s not a players responsibility to handle that -that’s coaching. Coaching handles that or they lose the locker room and lose the team. End of story.

What the hell are you talking about?
