Player leadership doesn't want him benched or suspended. Some believe doing so would make one mental lapse more significant than others.

Player Leadership should have nothing to do with it, this should come from the Top. Suspend him for a game, it will move on fast. Seen it twice recently.

I can't support a decision like this without knowing the status of CTE Brisker or Gordon.

Which is maybe what they are waiting on but seriously you’ve kinda lost the oomph of the message when you only make it out of convenience.

You know how I love pragmatism. It gets me hard.

The reality is the Bears just got exposed and they are super big time mad about it. OK fair enough but scapegoating like this accomplishes nothing.

That absolutely can not factor into it.

You don't want to them fire Eberflus apparently.

Saying that white guys don't do it... is denying the obvious.

Larry Bird is generally regarded as the biggest shit talking trash talker in NBA history.

hmm, I don't recall Larry Bird ever taking a play off to spend time taunting the crowd.

I said taunting not trash talking. Stevenson has poked his fingers twice in opposing players eyes so far this year. If you can't see that taunting is a black players thing(black culture) and immature in my book you need help. What does taunting do except for putting your team at a disadvantage with 15 yard penalties. NFL has let it go to far due to fear of being called racists. Play the damn game , watching football is like watching a gang fight

It happened on the field and during the game so I wouldn't suspend him but he should be inactive for a week so drive home the message to him and his teammates. The coach doubling down on not defending the quick out that was 100 necessary to pulling off the hail mary kind of clutters things. I assume all parties are trying to move on from this as quickly as possible and nothing will happen.

If we set the precedent of suspending players for mental lapses, we won't have a team to field. Eberflus shouldn't cave to the mob.

I love how the morning show is yelling their heads off about Tyrique and this situation. Suspend him, cut him, fire coach on and on. What he did was wrong. What he did is seen and accepted in baseball and NBA all the time.

Regular-season NBA games don't really matter. NFL games matter very much.

Nobody wants to confront the elephant in the room that was sabotaging a stellar red zone defensive performance. If it wasn’t Tyrique Stevenson becoming an internet meme it would’ve been Doug Kramer, and always the coaches no matter what.

The Chicago Bears blame game flows like a heavily dammed river. It finds the most convenient paths, goes where it is supposed to and avoids sensitive areas. Until one day enough rain falls that all of it gets washed away.

As a Caleb fan, it's clear to me that he should get the lion's share of the blame for the loss. Even the fumble was his fault. He wet the bed for 47 minutes against a terrible defense.

if it was such a terrible defense then why were they able to get almost constant and immediate pressure on Caleb the entire game?

There was an Ivy League rookie playing LT for the first time and he was given ZERO help most of the time. The Redskins blitzed a lot because they suck. There were still plays to be made and Caleb didn't make them for 50 minutes.

I agree that there were some plays where he had plenty of time, but without a view of downfield I don't know if he didn't make a play because everyone was covered or he just panicked in the pocket. Announcers kept harping on how Caleb was running for his life all game. There were plenty of plays where he had no time to make a play as well.

On the other side, I don't recall a single play where Daniels felt pressure and had to rush a decision or throw. He looked like he was throwing from a lazy boy on several downs.

There are a couple quarterback breakdowns on YouTube and Patreon. After looking at those, I realize he wasn't as bad as I thought in real time. What looked like a bad decision in real time was occasionally the best decision when they zoomed out. He still left a few layups out there, but not as many as the television copy had me thinking.

I think the Bears wanted Daniels to play quarterback. Considering the 12 points, it was probably the right decision.

The Bears played like shit for most of the game and really had no business being in any kind of position to win it. They were.....Stevenson acted like an ass on a highly visible play. I don't blame the loss on him, but for visibly acting like an asshole when it mattered most, he needs to be suspended for a game.

I believe the locker room leaders put him through the spanking machine.

he played bad for 3 plus quarters. Then he showed what he can do in the fourth. They do him no favors and he did himself no favors.

Stevenson doesn't play in MLB, or NBA, his action should be dealt with strongly...I say cut him, but before they cut him,
make him go through the "Car Wash" of Bears O-Line, Northwestern Style.
