DJ Moore hates Waldron. He's fine with Eberflus, but he doesn't think Waldron knows what he's doing.

DJ Moore is an interesting case. He seems permanently malcontent but he signs these team friendly deals without getting close to testing the free agent market.

I don't know how he was made a captain. He's pouted on the field when things didn't go his way the past 2 seasons. I also don't know why a coach needs to tell a 30 year old "leader" to keep criticisms of his coordinator's play calls in house.

Cole Kmet appears to be the leader of this team by his words and his actions. I don't want to sound like an old man, but he gets it.

He did it Carolina too. They were not necessarily heartbroken to see him go. Which OK fine yeah these are two trainwreck franchises but OK DJ then why are you signing extensions with them???

Unless you just keep the business and football 100% separate. I can admire that.

Hopefully the Bears run the pick 6 play a lot in this game so they can pull out a win!

This may statistically be the worst defense the Bears have faced this year. I know the Bears may not have a healthy offensive line, but they should still be able to score points.

Missing Sweat would be a concern. The defense is different with him.

A win over a first place team on the road will be great for morale.

This is another game the Bears should win.. but its on the road, the defense has some potential costly injuries, and AZ has a good QB. Not to mention, the Bears seem to have some growing frustration with their HC and coaching in general.

Eberflus has his flaws but coaching defense isn't one of them -however- he also doesn't seem to do well with most types of adversity. So can he coach up a defense missing some key players on the road? He'll have to do just that in order to keep the Bears in this one.

On offense -and I feel like I repeat this every game- the Bears need to stick to the run and the short passing game (complimentary football) in the 1st half and wait for opportunities to open up with the Cardinal defense. And that should be easy enough as the Cards rank 24th or lower in just about every defensive category. Winning on the road is also something most rookie QB's struggle with, and unfortunately its something the entire team has struggled with during the entirety of the Eberflus era so.. this may become a battle of what gives 1st? The low ranking Cards defense, or the hapless road game Bears lead by a rookie QB still learning the ropes?

Under ideal circumstance (mainly the Bear defense not having any major injuries) this should be a 'W'. But life aint perfect and neither is the Bears situation so as I said with last weeks game.. this ones a toss up folks.

An already-bad offensive line is now both bad and injury-riddled. A very good defense is also now injury-riddled. They might win this one at home, but I don't see how they beat the Cards on the road.

Cards 21
Bears 13

Had a post saying, "Bears get key vet back in time for Cardinals game", clicked it and found out it was just Borom coming back, the same key vet they make a healthy scratch whenever they can, kinda wonder if some of the Bears media type are watching games on Uncle Terry's imaginary TV.

However, do seem to remember Nas was known for his violent hand punch, so would have been a much better option than Borom who usually does a great impersonation of a turnstile at LT.

Continue to be disappointed in the Bears scouting ability to identify offensive line talent, it does not give one much confidence that he will get it right this offseason, you have several guys that handed starting jobs to being totally outplayed by journeyman bottom of the roster lineman, offensive self-scouting has been a disaster for this team, they overvalue the wrong guys and are hesitant to make changes, likely has cost them at least one game per season.

Eberflus is an odd man with a strong defensive coaching skillset, and that is about all you get, his oddly stubborn approach to underperforming players will be a contributing factor to his demise.

Today is the most important game on the Bears schedule.

True.

Until the next one. And the one after that.

If they lose on the 17th, they have to make Flus commute home immediately in soldier field traffic. No talking to the team, no collecting his shit…spend 3hrs getting his ass back on up to lake bluff.

I will be there and will be quite drunk. Pregaming at Westgate (hopefully that’s something Arlington Heights will replicate). Looking forward to sitting in the best seats I have yet to sit at a football game. Lower bowl, 50 yard line, row 33, and the nails will be painted. Go Bears.

I remember when that stadium was first built and that area wasn’t built up yet. It truly looked like a space ship landed in the desert from afar.

Nah not the next one. This one. They lose you can kiss the playoffs goodbye.

If they lose next week same story. Then starts the hard part of the schedule.

Hey Ron knock a few back for me. I thought about making the run down there. I visited Phoenix as a child and it was cool back then. So long ago that they cable and Chicago didn’t back in the mid 80's

They can lose today and win next week and it still wouldn't matter because they will have cemented their position as the NFL's best bumslayers. Next week's game is only meaningful if they lose. Not if they win.

This time last week Caleb Williams being a lot more than a bumslayer "sounded about right" also and we saw how that one went.

pretty sure they're going to lose.

When nobody is fired for last week's debacle what are the players going to think. you think they're going to lay it on the line for these doofus's. the players know these coaches are not NFL coaches.
