Still early but 3 division wins may be a pipe dream

I still think we'll find a way to split with the Packers.. For some reason Detroit always plays close with the Bears so I think theyl'll most likely split with the Bears too.

The Queens look like they're going to steamroll this entire division right now tho. Flores has that defense playing out of their minds and where the fuck did Sam ass Darnold come from lol?

I'm starting to feel the Bears might be more a 7 win type team rather than 9 atm

9 still feels about right.

I’ve been pleasantly surprised with the defense. I thought they were feasting on shitty QBs when they were peaking at the end of last year. That could still be true but they’ve been extremely solid.

The defense is definitely more than good enough to win 9.. the offense has a major O-line and coaching problem tho. And the team in general has coaching issues.

Eberflus is a glorified coordinator.

I took the 8.5 wins way early and felt great about it. I'm still optimistic. The defense won one game all by themselves and kept them in two where they had no business being in.

On what strand of the multiverse is a defense that gave up ~6 yds per play to the Anthony Richardson led Indiana-no-place Dolts anything other than mid?

On the other hand, how excited are you that Williams started throwing interceptions?

Exactly. You nailed it. Williams needed to throw more interceptions to show he has superstar potential.

Well his Miller Moss narrative is on the fritz so he has to grab on to something..

without knowing how good any of the other teams are in the league, I took a look at the schedule and I have this team penciled in at 5-6 wins.

Only reason I was pimping Miller Moss as some sort of superstar QB wuz-cuz he outplayed C-Will with the same roster Williams had last season/January AND C-Will was being labeled a generational talent.

If Miller Moss isn't all that, then the QB who dropped 5 of his last 6 games with the same roster Miller Moss lit up a top 10 defense with a few weeks later def not all that.

For those who still believe you can get 10/1 to win the division.
The win total is now 7.5 -102 ...+250 to make the playoffs.
Currently -3.5 against Carolina.

I was just looking at the Bears schedule and the second half of the season is very tough. They better start winning games or it's going to be a long year

Look, Williams is a rookie quarterback making rookie mistakes. He is also showing flashes of being a good quarterback just like Fields did when he was at the same relative stage of his career. Poles is the guy who made the mistake(actually two mistakes) in overrating his ability to step in and be immediately successful. I said that he was better suited to keep the draft picks that they gain for trading the rights for Williams and building an offense around Fields who was farther along in his development than Williams. This has proven to be true.

The defense is good particularly the secondary. And they're deep also. This team is below average offensively and terrible in its run offense. I don't know what they were thinking when they settled for the people they put in a right guard and center as well as the lack of depth at left tackle. They then compounded their problems when they brought in Swift as their feature running back.

I understood the logic in not signing a RB to an expensive contract, but then they gave that money to Swift. Montgomery is exactly what they need right now.

Only soy boy's liked the pick. A fourth round center or guard or tackle is exponantialy more valuable then a punter.

4th round OL has a 29% success rate. Higher than other positions but still a 70% fail rate. I get we need OL and normally would not be in favor of burning a pick on a punter or kicker but in this case it seems worth it.

Your missing the point. 29% sucess rate at OL is more important then 100% success at punter. OL is positionaly more valiable then punter. LGBTQ Time Guy liked the pick because he/xe thinks Taylor is hot.
