The Bears are lucky they're playing a rookie QB. Maybe they'll squeak out a 9-6 win

Nothing you can do when your quarterback creates negative yardage on 75% of your passing plays.

Who was open that Williams missed? Sending out two WRs and a RB on a flat route against a 4-5 man rush isn't going to beat NFL defenses. This is offensive scheming, period.

 OK bud, keep the Caleb copes going.

Drake Maye doesn't look very good either.

It’s impossible to assess Caleb without confronting the Fields cult and the people who will do things like argue he needs to know when to take a sack and also why did he take that sack!?

They don’t show it on the telecast. But you know there are plays to be made, defenders are barely allowed to play defense anymore and he has plenty of time to throw to guys who have a track record in the league of being good.

Announcers getting Caleb’s Hall of Fame bust dimensions ready after a few passes any practice squader could make.

Wtf was that throw? Holy lmao

I agree that when he was on his 3rd read and didn't see anything he should have thrown the ball away instead of waiting for something to materialize from the middle of the pocket, maybe even start to run, but standing flat footed was a poor decision. But the fundamental issue is that nobody is open, and "c'mon, somebody is open" isn't an argument.

Drake Maye threw up a prayer to his TE and you declared it better than any throw Caleb has made all season. You're a battered Bears fan.

Having a kicker who can kick past 53 yards would also be nice.

That was a poor throw to DJ. Gotta have that one in the flat. Maybe DJ got a little too deep but regardless he was open.

Broadcast just showed it: nobody is open. I appreciate the need to run the ball but Jesus Christ, being 2nd or 3rd and 7+ is no way to conduct an offense.

When you have mediocre arm talent and are completely hopeless past twenty air yards teams are going to swamp your short and intermediate options. Nobody was open on that play because Williams is bad and there’s no real threat there. You don’t have to respect him any more than you would some third stringer.

But at least he’s great for DEI.

It’s hard to imagine all this WR talent not being able to get open against a terrible defense but here we are.. that last play Moose highlighted was brutal

You’re telling me DJ Moore, Keenan Allen, Rome Odunze and Cole Kmet would all be covered if it wasn’t the NFL’s worst starting quarterback throwing them the ball?

He's been more impressive than Caleb Williams thus far.

He’s got a much bigger arm than Jones. Maye has played well so far this year imo from what I’ve seen. He’ll get better the more he sees

The Pats recognize the man coverage and run beaters for it, meanwhile Shane Waldron is calling his favorite Madden plays and hoping something sticks.
