Hey Brick .McCarver. in 2 of the last 3 games "Generational Talent" Caleb has played against 2 fellow Rookies who have worst supporting casts than he does and been outplayed by both of them. One of whom that has less NFL experience than he does.

Williams has had a disappointing rookie year so far. Luckily, so have a lot of QBs that worked out really well and many of them never or barely played as rookies.

Just be patient. As you said, you have to give Caleb Williams 3 years because you know that rookie QBs aren't finished products.

This hasn't aged well McCarver.

No, you are inventing this stupid talking point. They are the same age as rookies right now. Williams would be a little older. They'd be in the same class in school. It's a 108 day age difference. Justin Fields, on his first start his second year, was 23 and 190 days old. Williams, on his first start his first year was 22 and 295 days old. Williams, will be roughly 23 and 295 days old at the start of his second year.

There are real critiques of Williams even as a rookie. He shouldn't be expected to be as good as a second year QB though because of a roughly 100 day age difference.

You stupidly claimed that Caleb would be "better fairly quickly" and then doubled down on your stupidity by pretending that you meant "next year" when obviously you didn't. When Caleb slayed bum teams you had your pom poms out acting as if he'd "arrived" and were even more gleeful about this assessment when Justin was benched. Fact is Justin is better than this kid and will be for the foreseeable future. You trying to spin the narrative isn't going to change this.

Justin Fields was 22 his rookie year. Caleb Williams is going to be 22 for 10 of his 17 NFL games this year. It's a 108 day age difference.

Nor does he address Justin's penchant for fumbling.

Justin and Caleb have thrown or run for the exact same number of Touchdowns over the past 3 weeks

As one of the few people who engages with you currently, I'm going to drop out when you make up stuff like this. It was a one time line I said that was intentionally non-specific because it was paired directly with the point that rookie qb stats mostly don't matter.

I simply said that Williams was improving. He has regressed the past few games even against the so called "bums" you happened to not count before but you are now counting.

As for Fields, the point was clear. If the Bears had kept Fields, they would be looking at building around a guy who got benched for a guy who also isn't that good. The Bears likely would have had to give Fields a contract extension too or let him walk and then be back at square one. Moving on from Fields was 100% the right choice and there isn't an argument. Williams may fail here just as badly as Fields did but I am very happy as a Bears fan we aren't staring down another 4 years of waiting for Fields to learn to throw. I'd rather give Williams a chance and see if he can meet his potential over Fields who is looking to be a career backup or a guy who starts and loses his job to a rookie next year.

These recurrent collapses are funny when the coach turns into Bruce Levine during press conferences. Not so funny when the quarterback gets annihilated and is continually getting his bell rung.

Your "engagement" as an internet troll is not of value to me because you often are caught lying. As you're doing now.

That's why I asked.

I think you'll be proven wrong fairly quickly on that.

Which makes any and all discussions with you pretty much a waste of time.

As I said, as one of the few who engages with you, I have no reason to continue if you are going to make things up. It's not a lie to use a term like "fairly quickly" and then you decide that fairly quickly was 3 games.

The funny thing is, and I didn't remember this, but when I found that initial post we were discussing Fields as a rookie and Williams as a rookie. Williams, even with his struggles, has been better than Fields as a rookie. So, it's very possible the thing you are harping on and making things up about I'm actually already correct on.

You were discussing Williams as a Rookie and Fields as a Rookie. I wasn't. And again your "engagement" is of little value because you lie all of the time and most of my time is spent addressing things you've lied about. Like now. With this being the case it is probably best if you don't "engage" err "respond" to me.

The good news is that you have now acknowledged that I was talking about his rookie year, which ironically I didn't even remember because it was a quick line I said that didn't really matter that much to my overall point anyways. But hey, it's nice you harped on it for two months like some epic win and it turns out I was already right and didn't even realize it.

So you are "happy" that a team that was built to make a playoff push is likely to win Fewer games than the team from last year with a QB that is playing much worse than the guy that he replaced and every other starting QB drafted later than he was. Makes a great deal of sense doesn't it? Just Asking A Question

I'm not happy they aren't making the playoffs. However, I don't really care if they win 5 games or 7 games. I don't consider last year to have been a good season either.

Yes, I'm glad that we aren't building the future of Bears football around the Steelers backup QB.

Amazing that Bears promoting Thomas Brown 1 year as Panthers OC near or at bottom statistically in NFL appears it would be an upgrade over Waldron.

LGBTQ Time Guy just jealous since he/she/xe has unrequited homoerotic love for Field's and his dread's and Caleb took his spot. The good new's for LGBTQ Time Guy is that there's a open next to Field's on his bench snd southwest had a few one way special's to Pittsburgh.
