*for live events

It just does and I’m tired of pretending it doesn’t.

-Prime seems alright for NFL.

- EPL is usually fine on Peacock.

In 2007, when the Patriots played the Giants in the last game of the season to go 16-0, the game was exclusive to the then-hardly-carried NFL Network. The Senate played "nice antitrust exemption you have there, shame if something happened to it" and got the game simulcast on two of the three networks: I want to say NBC and CBS.

I wish I could say that after this debacle, we will see a repeat of that, with this game moving from streaming to linear as that game moved from expanded-tier cable to over-the-air, but after 12 years of Obama and Biden we're somehow even more subordinate to big business than we were then, so I kind of doubt it.

There's like 17 people watching that.

Yet Netflix beats analyst predictions every quarter. It’s never been worse, it’s never been more popular. This goes double for Amazon, which is so shitty and fraudulent that it’s basically unusuable but they are more dominant than ever. Food delivery, not something I ever use, but its a financial loser for all parties involved & an objectively shitty way to get overpriced, bad food…they keep adding business every year.

The doomer in me says it’s unironically over but really these trends seem inexorable until that day that they aren’t. And who knows maybe all this growth is fraud. Who actually holds these companies accountable to tell the truth? Congress? Lmao.

But like I said, once it cracks it will crumble much, much faster than it grew.

The prime nfl broadcast is the best video quality broadcast of the NFL. Crystal clear with HDR to make colors pop more
