And like you said, Jay Cutler early in his career was way better than this.

Cutlers first year as a Bear is close depending on the rest of this season.

Got to love the "stat" game as validation routine too.
Caleb Williams is 9th in the NFL overall in passing attempts this years and 23rd overall in passing yards. Which means that his overall production yardage wise is nowhere near correlative to the number of times that he passes the ball.
In short you're not getting enough bang for the buck when he drops back to pass. Which you can clearly see when you look at the Bears lackluster point totals on the season.
22nd in points.

To provide a better idea of what I'm talking about. Caleb has thrown 40 more passes than fellow rookie Jayden Daniels, but 300 fewer yards and for fewer points as well.
