I’ll add this for Flus’ obit…

If he genuinely thought they were doing the right thing at the end of the game, he should’ve been calling timeout and chewing out Williams for dithering. He didn’t because he’s either too weak to do it or because he didn’t know he should.

He’s either a pussy or an incompetent.

He is both.

The fact he hasn’t been fired yet makes all of his bosses incompetent pussies as well.

Quote:
When asked postgame how the Bears should have managed the final sequence in retrospect, Eberflus doubled down on the team's late-game operation.

"I like what we did there," Eberflus said. "Again, once it's under seven [seconds], you're going to call a timeout there -- actually under 12 and then really you don't have an option because it's third to fourth, you have to throw it into the end zone then.

"To me it's -- I think we handled it the right way, I do believe that you just rerack the play, get it in bounds and call timeout, and that's why we held it and didn't work out the way we wanted it to."

I get that firing someone midseason doesn't really help you find the next best coach but what it DOES do is send a message that management understands incompentency and it gives someone a little time to be the interim head coach and feel what that feels like as well as prevents the entire team from giving up trying at all because of the foolishness they have to abide by. I cannot for the life of me find a reason not to fire him right now -- the only reason not to is because his boss is an incompetent pussy.

Firing Waldron seems to have been a good move by Eberflus (assuming it was his decision). Crazy to think the Bears would fire a head coach so soon after that…does Brown then become HC?

Even with everyone in town instantly enamored of him, I don't think so. He has a good thing going concentrating on offense, so it's probably best not to disturb all that or give him any loser stink if they indeed lose the next five too. In practice, he'd basically be a co-head coach anyway. Whoever's the nominal defensive coordinator or the SHARK-looking Jon Hoke would be a better choice for mopping up the rest of the season.

They almost have to fire Flus today, have seen my term "coaching malpractice" used everywhere and Virginia likely watched the game because she is chums with the Detroit owner.

It will be quite interesting to see what the team looks like with a competent HC, whoever takes over will be at least average when it comes to clock management which will be a tremendous improvement over Flus who may go down as the worst game manager in NFL history, nobody wastes challenges, misuses time outs, and fails to recognize down and distance like Da Flus.

The second part of the equation involves the defense, teams are easily recognizing coverages and run the ball with ease when Da Flus stubbornly stays in his Cover 2 nickel look, will the new DC be a bit more aggressive, how about at flipping sides with Sweat to get him away from stud RTs? Will the interim DC be able to get his DE's to at least hold the edge and not get blown up by TE's, or how about getting his DT's to stay low against double teams and not get bitch slapped back five yards?

There will be little the interim HC can do about the Bears putrid O line, especially if they have to trot Borom out there at RT, but that is the fault of Poles who stubbornly has refused to sign or draft any quality offensive lineman. You will almost have to put Marcedes Lewis on the right side for the rest of the year to help out Borom who has never been and will never be a starting NFL offensive tackle.

No coach is going to go out and be like "maybe I'll emphasize this in practice later if I still have a job."

His absolute refusal to acknowledge the mistake is particularly galling, and further evidence that he's not head coach material. Part of leadership is accountability, not simply going out and saying "that obvious fuck up was the right move and I'd do it again."

And with him still being allowed to speak to the media as the head coach has me renewing my vow to thoroughly enjoy watching these scotch Irish inbreds get all pissy when fans celebrate Virginia's hopefully very painful demise.

Don’t blame me now for pointing out your loneliness and unhappiness.

You exhibited the behavior.

Now, you can quit pointing fingers at others and decide to change it.

It’s up to you

That's a woefully inaccurate diagnosis, Dr. God. Get back to Bible study and keep your cold reading to yourself.

 "Stalking". You're an opportunistic snotty piece of shit, if nothing else. And I don't count friendships like baseball cards, if it gives you joy to do so, so be it.

You're still way off the mark, and if you've got your panties in a bunch because you share an ethnic and/or religious background with the stuffy McCaskey family that are rightly lampooned, may I suggest sizing up.

Try expressing your indignant cuntyness to someone who gives a shit about you and what you think.

I’d say unbelievable, but sadly, this is believable…

I believed that the difference between this situation and the Trestman situation is that when the Trestman debacle was unfolding the Bears had a lot of decent success in relative recent history. Now the Bears have only had a winning record once in the last twelve years and are firmly in an NFL dark age, and I thought that would add a sense of urgency.

But they just don’t care. They do things the way they do them.

I’ll tell you right now it doesn’t matter. The Bears have basically no hope in this division for the foreseeable future. I do not see a path to them finishing outside the basement until at least 2030.

Thomas Brown the new head coach. Three roles in two months for him.

Edit: I mean weeks. Brilliant.
