I know everyone is impressed with him--Senor in particular is walking right up to the precipice of "he's so articulate"--but I'd have had someone more disposable soak up the rest of the losses. He just got the OC job weeks ago.

I think they pretty much had to promote him at this point if they were going to fire Flus. With the way his star has risen in the last couple of weeks.

Now they can get a close up view of what he is and how he would do?

I am not sold at all that he is the answer, but at least they will get an idea

The guy we were making fun of because he was Bryce's OC last year is now the head coach.

Once this guy doesn't succeed at successfully "unlocking" Caleb, then who will be left to blame? My guess is that it will be Ryan Poles if it isn't already.

My understanding is that the Bears simply do not have an offensive coordinator now.

This guy has been coaching from the press box for three weeks and now he’s going to be on the field in the mix of it all at eye level. And he’s expected to be on top of everything. A ton to adjust to on the fly.

Yep. Poles seems to be making a lot of moves now that are designed to save his own ass.

whole thing is bizarre. Goes way beyond Matt Eberflus too, the Bears are one sick puppy of a football team.

The league is figuring out Caleb and he will Sophomore Slump hard, irregardless of who the head coach is.

So in a few weeks time Brown goes from not bein allowed to speak to Williams to head coach.

Freddie Kitchens. Luckily the Bears are up against it schedule-wise, every team they face the rest of the way is in the playoff hunt.

And not every instance of this happening has resulted in the coach being a bust.. the Colts fucked up after Bruce Ariens took over and won coach of the year only to let him walk. Ariens went on to be a pretty successful HC with the Cards and Bucs
